Plants are happy and healthy
My plants are happy and healthy and growing like mad. In fact, since purchase my plants have done so well, I had to remove some from my tank because they immediately started propagating themselves. Great product, great price. I have been doing iron every other day and my red plants look amazing. I use the Excel daily and the regular flourish every couple days.

Excellent Product, Excellent Price
At less than $12, this is the BEST buy ever on these products. You get a regular 100ml size bottle of 3 of their most popular formulas -- Flourish, Flourish Excel, and Flourish Iron -- in one pack. At prices ranging from $7 to $8 per bottle if purchased separately, the savings are significant. I saw where this same set is offered by a different seller for over $32! Definitely a great buy.The products are excellent. I can't believe the amount of lush new growth in my tank since I started using this stuff. A friend recommended it to me -- I must remember to thank him profusely! The order did NOT arrive in the given time-frame, but that was the fault of USPS, not Amazon or the seller. At least they sent me an email telling me that my parcel had been held up and giving me a new delivery date -- which was accurate. Bummed that I had to wait 5 extra days for it, but it did finally get here.I have just one aquarium, so this stuff is going to last me quite some time, but I recommend it and would not hesitate to reorder.I do have one minor complaint that pertains to the shipping: at some point during transit, one of the bottle (the iron, I think) leaked all over the packaging and the box that the bottle came in. It was sufficient to saturate the printed instructional insert, effectively fusing the paper to itself, making it impossible to unfold and read. I tried soaking it, but that didn't help; the paper basically dissolved when I tried to tease it open. Fortunately, the directions for use are printed on the labels of the bottles, so the only loss was the foreign language versions. Not sure who is to blame here, but I'm thinking that excessive pressure on the packaging probably caused it. By the time I received the parcel, the leaked material had dried but the outer box and inner packaging was stained and warped. [If the responsible party is reading this, you might want to consider a shipping this item in something sturdier than a padded mailer.]

A must have for planted tanks
The Flourish line for planted tanks is likely the most intuitive that I've found, other than something like Aquarium Co-ops line which is literally dummy-proof. You are going to want to purchase an additional, separate bottle of Flourish Excel in at least a 250ml size, as you will go through that much faster than the rest. This is because Iron is an "as needed" supplement and macronutrients are not as much of an issue unless you are using pure RO water or have such a heavily planted tank that you NEED to dose more frequently.Great starter pack or essential pack for a SMALL tank. However, as I said, you're going to want that extra bottle of Excel, especially if you are working with a planted tank of 20 gallons or higher.

Most plants responding well, except Mayaca Fluviatilis, which is now putting out pale yellow growth.
Responding well:Anacharis (1/2 strength usage of Excel due to potential toxicity)Red Cabomba (new red growth)Green CabombaWater wisteria (Hygrophila Difformis)hornwortJava Moss/christmass moss (can't tell which is which)Marimo Balls (1/2 strength usage of Excel due to potential toxicity)hair algaegoldfish that are eating hair algaeNot doing well:Mayaca Fluviatilis (plenty of new growth, but very pale)Can't tell yet:Ludwigia Repens 'Ruben'Rotala Wallichiijava fern (green but not growing)Fissidens Fontanus moss on a rock (I think it was dead when I got it)Taxiphyllum Barbieri (weeping moss)My tanks wont cycle in spite of going through a whole bottle of seachem stability and numerous other "instant cycling" products, so I decided to just heavily plant my tanks as an alternative to help with ammonia. It seems to be working well and the fish are thriving. The plants love the ammonia from the un-cycled tanks and the fish love the plants, however some of the new growth was suffering from chlorosis. I added these three products as directed and they are starting to green up. It was most likely just an iron deficiency. I just use 1ml of each product per 10 gallons at each weekly 50% water change and a few drops of excel every other day or so. The only plants that don't seem to be responding well are the Mayaca Fluviatilis. They are putting out pale yellow new growth, which indicates iron deficiency. Since Mayaca are more sensitive than most other plants to iron deficiency, I'll try increasing the dose until they green up. Both the green and the red Cabomba are doing well, and the red Cabomba is supposedly one of the more difficult plants to grow. The plants seem to be doing well, but so does the algae, but this is to be expected when ammonia is present. I don't mind though, since my goldfish like eating the algae instead of the plants. they even eat some of the algae off the plants leaving the plants intact. I figure if the plants get too covered, I'll just take them out and soak them in a potassium permanginate solution for a while. This removes algae and gives the plants extra potassium, which they respond well to. I might just make this a habit every other week or so and let the algae grow an everything else. I read on another listing that Excel can kill Anacharis. This worried me a bit at first, but my Anacharis are doing fine. I have been using the Excel at less than 1/2 the recommended dose though. The only negative to this kit is the disproportionate concentrations. It's a good kit of you are just wanting to try out the products, but the Excel will run out before the other two are even half used even if using the Excel at half strength (which is recommended if you have Anacharis). This stuff should be more concentrated. I might just save the excel for the non-aerated beta tanks and avoid Anacharis in those, since all the others should be getting plenty of CO2 from aeration and the fish.Update:I recently had nitrate spikes in two of my tanks that killed some fish. I found it odd given that the tanks were well established and over grown and had good light. It turns out, excel can inhibit the growth of algae, so if you already have an established tank with a lot of algae, it will throw your system off balance and you will end up with a dangerous nitrate spike. I would suggest testing your water daily if starting to use this on an already establish tank. It will take a while for it to reestablish balance and more water changes than usual be necessary to offset algae die off.
