New Rage Cycles Fender Eliminator Compatible With XSR 900 (2016-2021) Standard No Thanks

On my 1 to 10 curse word scale, the installation of this unit was a 1 which is rarefied air for my projects! Everything was pretty much plug and play for my XSR900, though the directions online were not perfect. The end result looks great and I feel it is plenty bright.The relay to slow the blinking (sold separately) was a bit more of an issue but that is just my ignorance of electronics. Even with that I managed an acceptable able 4 out of 10 on the curse word scale. Well done New Rage Cycles.

I ordered the Yamaha XSR 900 Fender Eliminator - Standard from New Rage Cycles, and my experience has been somewhat mixed. The first time, the wrong part was shipped to me - it was for a different year bike. The customer service helped resolve the issue, and I eventually received the correct unit.However, when the correct fender eliminator arrived, I encountered another problem. The part was damaged, and to make matters worse, the brake light didn't work as it should. I expected a smooth installation process, but these issues have made it a less than ideal experience.I appreciate the effort made to correct the initial mistake, but receiving a damaged product with a malfunctioning brake light is disappointing. The fender eliminator design is generally good, but the quality control and shipping process seem to need improvement.

Very overpriced but you should buy it for two simple reasons..1) IMHO it's by far the best looking solution out there. The stock back end on the XSR is a gigantic eyesore. This thing gets rid of all of it.2) It's plug and play which means quick, easy installation with no hidden costs. I've installed 6 fender eliminators over the past 15 years and this is the first one that didn't require cutting something off the bike, splicing wires, or hunting the Internet for the right connector. I'm a mediocre at best mechanic and managed to get this thing on in a little over an hour without having to supply anything beyond the hardware provided and a few simple hand tools. The instructions could be a little clearer but are adequate.A few installation tips not called out in the instructions:- You'll need a socket set with 8mm and 10 mm sockets, a 3mm Allen wrench, a small set of snips to remove zip ties, a small pair of pliers, and a lighter to heat up the wire tubing.- Use the shrinkable wire tubing to insulate the license plate wire connectors. You have to put the tubing on BEFORE you make the connection.- Be careful when disconnecting the stock turn signals from the wire harness. There is a small plastic tab you have to gently lift up. If you don't, it will snap off (which isn't the end of the world - just add some tape when you reconnect).- Don't over tighten the M5 bolts that hold on the new unit. It will crush the LEDs. Snugging them is fine. The bolts have nylon threads so they will stay secure.

Who markets and sells a Fender eliminator with NO running light function ??? W.T.F. ??? Waste of money.DANGEROUS !!! Don't think about riding in the dark with this death trap fitted to your bike.. Irresponsible product.Should be removed from sale surely illegal !!! DO NOT BUY !!!

It is absolutely not plug&play at all. Two wires were flipped causing my brake light to not work so I had to deplug and replug them. Then I had to modify my front led turn signals to work with them even with an LED relay.
