85 ft well good flow. A+
The media could not be loaded. I think this pump works well. It's not a strong hose flow but it's enough to drive a sprinkler. I have a solar charger Bank of two 12 volt Marine batteries. I used a small circle Marine clip to connect to the battery and found out I had to use a lock washer underneath the clip so the battery would tighten. I am pleased with pump. It has a long 80 ft cord and that takes care of the part to be in the water I added another wire to it and butt clamped it, liquid electrical coated, electrical taped it and then I added a 3 ft piece of rope duct tapep to both ends of the cable. This will keep it from accidentally pulling apart. I did add the rope that help pull it up. I like the fact that it's only 3 in wide cuz it makes it easy to go down a 4-in Casing. For about $6 I added warranty if it breaks I'll just send it back to Amazon. The pump will drive a small sprinkler which means I don't have to use it for hand watering. It was an old well which I cleaned out by adding a pressure washer tip to 100 ft air hose which I attached to my pressure washer. This method only took about 30 minutes to clean out about 35 ft of sediment.

Not for the faint of heart
I was torn between three and four stars when assessing this item and with I could have given it a 3.5-star rating. I attempted to install this pump to draw water from a shallow (10 feet deep) well at my farm to feed a drip irrigation system. I ultimately had to ask for assistance from a friend who is skilled at electrical work.PROs:(+) Pump is solidly constructed(+) Flow rate easily matches what is advertised(+) Narrow diameter profile easily fit in the 6” diameter well holeCONs:(-) There is no installation hardware - this is just a pump with a cord coming out of it.(-) The single page of instructions was ripped in half and the important half was missing. If you have experience installing this type of equipment, this is a solid pump at a low price. If you are not electrically inclined, spent more money to get a full kit that includes a solar panel, connection hardware, switches, etc.

Perfect for a cistern or gallery well
This isn’t going to do great in a deep well, but in cisterns or gallery wells, this worked great. I dropped it down an access hole in a gallery well, and was able to have it steadily running to easily fill a watering tub or for basic garden watering needs. It’s a basic two-wire hookup (with lots of cord), so there wasn’t much to figure out other than configuring the solar panels correctly. I acquired this as an emergency pump in the event of a power outage, and it looks like it will work out perfectly.
