Good clarity.
This is a decent scope for the money. I think it holds a pretty solid zero and the lens quality seems pretty solid. No complaints so far.

Decent scope for the price point
Overall I am happy with this scope, especially for the price. The glass is just as clear, if not more-so, than any scope I've seen at this price point, and just as good as many I've looked thru at higher points. No, it's not a high end Luepold, Nightforce, Ziess, or Swaro, it an economical scope that does the job it's designed to do, and does it rather well.Once I got the ocular focus set for my failing eyes, the reticle is crisp, clear, and doesn't clutter the sight picture like many of the more complex reticles can. I wouldn't consider the reticle to be a fine varmint or target weight, but it also isn't so heavy that I feel like accuracy suffers at the bench because it covers too much of the target. I think it's a happy medium. I have yet to test the holdover points, but being on a 6.8spc rifle, it's not like there's a lot of long range shooting in this scope's immediate future to begin with.I like the adjustable objective because I am left handed, which makes adjusting a side focus parallax awkward for me.Reticle adjustments via the turrets are a but weird. The turrets are capable of finger adjustments, but the interface is not as friendly as others might be, including the Droptine series of scopes (yes I have one of those too). The turrets also have a provision for flathead screwdriver adjustments, which in my opinion is outdated. I did notice that the capped turrets on the FFII version being reviewed here are much more slim and less obtrusive than those on the Droptine series (which are only finger adjustable and much easier to manipulate). So that's a trade-off, if you're looking for the most sleek design). As for actual adjustments; these turrets should not be confused with a scope you'd use for actually dialing windage and elevation adjustments for long range shooting. I view this setup as a set it and forget it type of deal. The clicks are 1/4" @ 100yds, not exactly prominent, precise, or repeatable as would be needed for regular long range use. And so far as I can tell the turrets are not resettable to zero once adjustments have been made. This scope was obviously designed to be a hunting scope for close to moderate distances (I'd figure practical use tops out around 400yds, depending upon caliber and user ability). One thing I was surprised to see, and not really excited about, is the fact that when you adjust the power setting on the scope the whole ocular lens eyepiece rotates, not just the power adjust ring. This is something I have yet to see on a scope of any brand, and I do not particularly care for it. If using flip up caps, do not buy this scope because it will be a constant hassle due to this feature.Adjustments of the magnification setting and parallax setting are firm, but not overly difficult. No complaints in this dept.Finish of the scope is what we'd expect from a quality optics manufacturer, and the scope does seem to be well constructed overall. Just keep in mind, there are a few features in the design of this scope that are just a bit different than most others out there. But if you want a decent piece of glass for a great price to put on a rifle, set the zero, and go hunting, then this scope might fit your needs. Personally, if I were to buy another similar scope, and I likely will before too long, I'd go with the drop-tine series again, as I have no issues with the one I currently own.

Best scope for the money!!
Let me start off by saying, this is a awesome scope, very clear and bright. I was in the market for a score for my AR-15, since I decided to start doing some varmint hunting. I did my research for about a good solid two weeks before I decided to purchase a Burris scope. I originally had a Vortex red dot, which don't get me wrong they are cool and all, but only good for up to 50-75 yards if that. Since I was getting into varmint hunting, I wanted something good but not cheap. I looked at them all, Vortex, Leupold, Bushnell, UTG, etc and finally decided on Burris. Just reading the reviews on Amazon along with other sites, they are highly recommended scopes. Also you can't beat the "forever lifetime warranty" even though a lot of brands offer this kind of warranty, however they all seem to have stricter regulations for the warranty. I ended up going with the 4.5-14x42mm Price range was a big concern, since I'm new to the sport and I knew I had to buy a good scope mount, also I had to be in under the $200 dollar range. I'm consider myself a hardcore bargin shopper online, so I searched and searched, until I found this deal on Amazon. You can't best 190 bucks with no tax and free shipping, I even got in less than 3 days with no prime account. Like I mention above, for any 4.5x14x42mm or higher scope will cost you at least 300.00 + and being able to get it for what I did was a steal. The scope is very great quality, everything feels snug, and turns with smooth. The optics I'm blown away by, very clean and I'm impress by the amount of light I'm getting out of this scope. Also 18oz scope, some companies make them big and bulky. Can't wait for my Burris AR scope mount I ordered, so I can mount my scope and do some hunting!!
