Easy to calibrate, Solid unit, Probe is Fragile, Buy additional calibrating solutions
Good unit, easy to use, large display. Easily calibrated using the 7.0 and 10.0 calibrating solutions that come with it (will require a small eyeglass screwdriver to adjust). Buttons give good tactile feedback, probe appears to be of decent quality. Can be left immersed (I have mine in an aquarium). If you store it, make sure to keep the probe immersed in the bottle it comes with probe storage solution. As with all pH meters, the probe is fragile and shouldn't be allowed to dry out, so read the directions on storage, care and use.Would order again...solid unit for my use (aquarium). I recommend buying the extra box of calibrating solutions to make sure you calibrate every couple months. Unit has run more than 48 hours and battery still going strong.

Accurate and very easy to cal/use!
After going thru several cheap PH meters I decided to spend the money and get a good PH meter. It came packaged very securely with plenty of padding. I had it calibrated in about 8 minutes using the easy to understand directions. The next calibration will take about half that time. The readout with the PH values is nice and large so I don't have to squint to read the numbers. I have nothing to compare the readings too to determine accuracy but they match what I was expecting based on the documentation of the water I was testing. I really like the idea of a replaceable probe so you don't have to buy a whole new unit when you wear it out. Overall I am very satisfied with this meter. Money well spent and hopefully will last many years. Above is the Rate Features and I have no idea what "Warmth" is supposed to represent so I split it down the middle for a 3. lol

Great for hydroponics use
I've have two Iharvest aquaponics systems. The kits came with a handheld PH and TDC meter. The TDC meter seems to read consistently but the PH meters in both kits are wildly inaccurate. The PH reading of 6 on the included meter was actually a 4.12 on the Pinpoint meter. I calibrated the Pinpoint meter as instructed in the 7 and 10 solutions. Took about 20 minutes to get the needed accuracy. I placed the probe into the first system and noticed a 4.12 reading. No wonder my plants were wilting. I brought the tank up to the full water mark, added the needed nutrients than took another reading. It took a few additions of baking soda to get it to the desired 5.5-6.0 PH level. The tanks hold 14 gallons so just adding a little bit at a time then waiting I could see the Pinpoint meter responding. Were on well water with a PH of 7.6 so I had added a little too much acid going by what the handheld meters were telling me. Don't waste your time with those. I did take off one star as I had to run out and get a 9 volt battery. At this price point they should include an .80 battery in the kit. Overall this is a recommended meter if it holds up.

Good for Awhile ... Went South from There
Bought this in January 2020. It worked fine until May of this year (approx. 16 months after purchase). At that point, the readings would fluctuate all over Hell's half acre. You had to swish the probe around in the water for a few minutes before it would stabilize. Now, in October, it won't stabilize at all ... just keeps wildly changing values. I would have thought a $118 meter would have lasted longer than 16 months ... I'm very disappointed that this product didn't!

Worth every penny. Far easier than guessing colors from chemical systems.
Review: FIVE STARSI've used this meter many years ago in the aquarium at my former home. I know how reliable and accurate the Pinpoint pH meter is. If one reads and understands the directions, one can easily achieve the 7.0 and 10.0 readings. Remember to take your time for the meter to settle down before making any adjustments and take into consideration that the probe will only last a maximum of 20 months. All in all, taking the trouble to calibrate the meter is worth the effort because of all the advantages.

Easy to use
This is the first PH pen I have ever bought and I am glad I did. It's easy to calibrate and recalibration is simple. I purchased an extra solution for calibrating which I recommend because it is going to be needed but you can't beat the cost of it. I would recommend this to others.

Reliable pH meter for planted tanks
This is my second AmericaMarine pH meter which I brought since using my first unit for over 5+ years. It ran reliability and the 9V battery last 4-5 months for use on my planted tank. The packaging was simple and functional. Came with proper protection for the probe and the meter was wrapped nicely. It came with 2 packets of calibration solutions for PH 4 and 7 and a bottle of storage solution for the probe. The only downside is that the replacement probe is quite expensive, USD40 ~ 40% of full pH meter set. That said, the probe lasted several years before it loses accuracy beyond calibration.

A must have
Plugged it in. Calibrated it in 4 min. Been on tank for 2 months with power cord instead of battery and seems to be on point. I really thought it would be difficult to set up but apparently not! Was surprised! Great value for me!
