We have a variety of koi in our pond some that are over 15 years old and 45cm, down to some that are 20cm and a few years only. So they can be sensitive to food changes. But i am keen to try new foods.These pellets float and are ideal for larger fish. They are listed as being 3mm but they look much larger. If trying for the 1st time it's a good idea to offer it mixed with existing food to help the fish get used to it.They have all of the essential vitamins and minerals needed for a regular daily feed to keep your fish healthy and happy. The only negative with the ingredients is the protein content. 40% protein is good for encouraging quick growth, 30-35% is good for strength and slow growth. These have 27% crude protein which is what i would expect of a spring/ autumn in to winter maintain food for easy digestion or a lower quality feed. It also makes it much cheaper to produce.Value is not good. This is a tiny little tub and with 2 feeds a day this will not last long at all and will work very expensive even compared to some more popular brands. If it were a larger tub it would be better value.The fish ate it happily. There was no noticeable amount of dust or gunk on the pond either.Quality is ok, value bad. The media could not be loaded. I normally buy my fish food by weight and in bulk but I thought I'd give this a try. Being sold by the litre is not very clever as no body feeds their fish by volume, always weight of food for size and quantity of fish. As can be seen in the video the fish loved it, the pellets of 3mm are just the right size for the large fish to gulp down and the smaller ones to nibble on. The food contains a good range of nutrients and supplements as would be expected. The tub and food weighed in at 430 grams which works out to £18.58 per kilo! This is obviously a convenience pack for some one who cannot store larger quantities but it is not cheap.

The media could not be loaded. i found the pellet size is a little big for my young goldfish but they clearly liked it, i did find it sank in the pond when it has been there a while so they may have had it off the bottom of the pond, but this is not ideal so i will be saving it for when they are a little bigger, i would say this food will be great for koi or larger/older goldfish
