Great fire pit for the price!
Very cool fire pit! Great bang for your buck! Set up wasn’t too difficult. Came with everything you could possibly need wind blocker, cover, lava rocks.

Love this fire pit!
Fairly easy to put together even though the screws were labeled wrong. Did it in about an hour. Puts out a great amount of heat and it’s the perfect size.

Decent imported pit for the money.
Nice looking pit, instructions are horrible and fasteners are not the correct length on some parts.

Works well, so far!
Super easy to put together and it works great. The safety turn was a little confusing at first, I wasn’t able to turn it up past the lowest bar. But I figured out you have to pull it out to turn it up, so that was a minor issue. I will say the rocks that come with it do turn black when hit by the constant fire, and the cover is useless. It rained and it soaked right through. We ended up getting another cover and use both for extra protection. The heat it puts out isn’t bad either and the glass barrier it’s perfect for windy nights. Worth the price and we’re happy with it so far!

Good product for the price
The media could not be loaded. Took us about 40 min to put together. The instructions are poorly done, but you can figure it out. Nice quality product and puts off a lot of heat and Works well. The Size of the product fits well in our patio area. Very happy with this product and would recommend it.

Looks & functions great but terrible instructions
I put this unit together last night and it could have been pretty quick if the instructions were accurate and clear, but sadly they are not and it’s pretty frustrating. What shouldn’t have taken more than 30 minutes took me twice that.First, there are two sets of screws (AA and BB), and they’re marked differently in the manual vs the hardware packet- see pic. After finishing step 1, I realized I should have used the BB screws as indicated on the packet, not the AA screws as indicated in the manual, so I had to un-screw and re-do.Then, it’s not clear that the front and back panels need to be installed with the two screw holes facing the bottom of the table, which is where the gas tank shelf goes. So, I had to correct that by unscrewing and re-screwing one of the sides, which obviously took more time. There are zero instructions for how to put the glass pieces together but that was easy enough to figure out. However, I discovered that one of the metal brackets is missing a screw. Annoying.Lastly, when I went to put in the propane tank, I realized I installed the door on the wrong end - it should have been installed on the side closest to where the gas tank shelf is located. Since the door is the first part that’s installed, I have to take the whole unit apart and start from scratch. Infuriating.Perhaps for someone who has put this type of table together before or has a more refined intuition for putting furniture together in general, this would be a more straightforward process. But for me, that was not the case. I have put together plenty of furniture pieces and I actually enjoy it, but this project, not so much.To add insult to injury, I got excited to light the darn thing and finally enjoy the fruits of all my hard labor, only to discover it wouldn’t ignite. I spent more time fumbling around with the nozzle, making sure the propane tank valve was open, the wire connecting the tank to the table wasn’t twisted, the rocks didn’t cover the igniter…nothing. At this point, I want to bash the table to pieces with a hammer.I’m giving it 3 stars since it looks fabulous on my patio and I’m hoping it’s just user error with the igniter and not faulty equipment, especially after all the time I’ve spent putting it together. Will update soon with the outcome, cross your fingers for me!—————————UPDATE: I finally re-constructed the unit and it still didn’t ignite 😫 I attached my propane tank to my grill to make sure the tank wasn’t the problem - it worked fine. Then, I thought maybe there was a leak because I didn’t smell gas coming out when I pressed the nozzle. Before conducting the leak tests, I figured I’d test rotating the propane tank to see if that made a difference and….ta-da! Success!! The propane tank nozzle needs facing the opposite side of the control panel so that the tube connecting the tank to the fire pit is fully extended to allow the gas to flow. My god that was a hassle! Alls well that ends well I suppose. Hopefully all my trial & error helps another struggling human 🥴

Poor quality and incorrect instructions
I started installing the Shinten-chi Outdoor Propane Fire Pit today, and the experience was frustrating from the start. The instruction manual is completely wrong, making assembly confusing and time-consuming. The hardware and screws are extremely low quality—they damaged easily while screwing in. The design itself is flawed, with noticeable gaps after installation, making it look poorly made. Overall, this product is cheaply built, and I regret purchasing it. Buyers should be aware of the low quality and incorrect instructions before wasting their money.
