No More Blisters
According to Internet research, I have what is known as a Haglund's deformity. It is a boney offshoot to the side of my Achilles that is a blister factory. I normally buy loose fitting shoes and don't have a problem, but for hiking and backpacking that is not an option. Hills force my heel against the boot and form blisters almost immediately. I tried some of the expensive teflon inserts that stick to the back of my boots. That worked at first, but by the end of my first hike with that, my deformity had worn through the patch (the blue was worn down to white indicating it was time to replace it). That wasn't going to be an economical long term option. So I decided to try these. This set had the best pricing. The silicone is a bit sticky and super stretchy. Once you get it on, it is a bit squishy but doesn't feel bad. I wore these under my socks and just recently completed a 3 day backpacking trip with them and had absolutely no problems or blisters. For the most part they disappeared and I didn't even remember I had them on. If I thought about it, I could feel the squishy cushioning on my heel, but it wasn't unpleasant. My socks were a synthetic wool-type material and my boots gore-tex. Sweat buildup was no different from when I was not wearing these cushions. The silicone against my skin didn't seem to trap in water.Cleaning was easy- I just rinsed with water and they were ready to go for next time. I didn't notice any observable wear and tear on them after one trip, so they seem to have a pretty good life. All in all, 5 stars from me and I can definitely recommend them.Update 12/23/23: I have continued to use these on my hiking and backpacking trips, including a 10 day trek in Alaska, and they still work well at preventing blisters. However, they have developed a problem that didn't occur in my first trials- they tend to work their way off the bottom of my foot and end up entirely around my ankle. Maybe it has something to do with the wool hiking socks I have been using? Anyway, having the pad bunched up on my heel and ankle still works to prevent blisters, though I notice it more as it isn't conformed around my heel as intended. I don't feel this problem is serious enough to take off a star in rating given how I am using these protectors, but this may be important information for others who need to protect the bottom of their feet.

VERY comfortable! BUY THEM!
Use-for me, a cushion for a bone spur on my right heel.-slips right over (or under, I guess. I haven't tried) your sock-I could not tell it was in my shoe, other than total lack of pain!-I got mine initially just for driving, because that is the exact position that puts pressure on my bone spurCost:-cheap, buy them & try them! I *think* I used my Flex Spending Account card through my health insurance, but not 100% certain on that.Durability:-while I got mine initially only for driving1. I drive every day, usually 70 miles or so, 5 days a week at least2. It was just easier to leave it on all day, rather than taking it on & off, but I also wear hiking boots exclusively currently.3. On my first one, I think I got 3 months(?) out of it before it tore & had to be replaced.4. It took quite a lot of abuse, given what it was, before I had to replace it.5. I was actually quite pleased with the lifespan of a single one.Pros:-does the job, does it extremely well!-VERY good cost per unit. I think it will take me a couple of years to go through this one order-lightweight, easy to store-super comfortableCons:-sometimes I have to flip it around a few times to see which way it's supposed to go on. I don't think it matters, due to the malleability-I have difficulty getting it in position, when I use it over my sock, & sliding into my boot. It "grabs" the boot & doesn't want to slide inMiscellaneous:-I looked at several & settled on these because of price, quantity per order, & gel anything is usually quite comfortable-the heel support that I got initially, from my podiatrist, was quite different, & I couldn't find one on here, which is another reason I tried these.-the other support is kind of like an Ace bandage support ankle sleeve, but with a gel pad right at the heel point. It's very form fitting & feels nice, & does not shift at all. I prefer that fit. I don't know the brand. It came to me in a plastic bag

Very comfortable. Ease the pain of dry, cracked heels.
These heel covers are cushiony soft. I have very dry skin on my feet. I get cracks and fissures on my heels during the winter. The heel cover/protectors provide relief.

Provides comfort, not very durable
I have an Achilles bone spur and associated inflammation. I’ve tried several inserts and other solutions. This type of heel cup works well to cushion the heel (bottom and back) to reduce pain after wearing shoes or boots for an extended period (like working on your feet or hiking). Unfortunately, they’re not proving to be durable — after just 4 wears, one has torn completely through and the other will on the next wear. With only 3 pairs per box, you wouldn’t consider these as disposable but it appears they are. I may buy some more anyway because they are helping. I will just keep looking for something that holds up longer.

Doesn't help for what it's advertised for
I bought these to protect my heels when wearing certain shoes that dig into my heel. However, if I wear these inside my socks, when my feet sweat these move and ride up. They don't stay where they need to be. If I wear them on the outside of my socks, I can't get my shoes on without these things completely moving from where they should be. I can't wear these outside of a pair of socks with a second pair on top to keep them in place, because then the shoes don't fit. These definitely do not help with plantar fasciitis or provide any type of support. The only nice thing they did was the slight cushion they provided on the heel. I will not purchase these again.
