Works perfectly with STB’s to VGA
I needed an adapter to connect an Apple TV 4th gen which has HDMI/HDCP only A/V output to an ageing Sony LCD flatscreen tv with no HDMI inputs. Using this device to convert to a VGA video with stereo audio connection works perfectly. I thought the HDCP content might be a barrier, but it is not, I can watch Apple movies, Netlix, Amazon Prime with this configuration on the Sony TV over VGA video.I imagine this will work with any STB.

Great splitter adapter
The description underplays how powerful this is. Was a little dubious this was going to be amazing. I was truly suprised that this independently detects and configures all three video interfaces... I use it on a tower system to basically copy the monitor to a projector (rather than split displays). This works extremely well. Recommended. Andrew

Definitely would recommend
It worked as it should. I like that it didn’t need a power adapter and that it came with a audio output and the cord for that.
