This is an amazing product. It is a really good weight, its not heavy but it's not super light. The battery life is amazing as well have not had to charge it yet. The functions can be a little confusing but once you figure it out it is super easy. I have accidentally thrown it across the room and it survived so the quality is amazing and is super durable. I did buy this for a grown man, however, I know kids would love this product too.

The media could not be loaded. I freaking love this light saber! I can’t believe it was only $80. It has a nice metal hilt with rubber strips that help you grip it really well!! Also it has several different colors and sound effects. After using this thing almost a week I was still continuing to learn more about it. That one button actually controls everything lol so you definitely need to read the directions but once you get it down, it’s actually really awesome! I can’t believe they got that one button to do so many different commands! I’ve had a few friends that ordered some light saber replicas and this is the best one I’ve seen that’s not like $300 plus. Definitely looks great up on my wall and everyone loves it!

I have 12 different lightsabers from various places and of varying quality.This saber is a good starting point for people wondering if they want to get into collecting.The instructions can be confusing for people if they have never owned a saber other than a disney saber before.Otherwise it's fairly strait foward, powering on, twisting the hilt, etc. It's the same motions that a Xeno VS saber, or a SNV4 saber would do.Pros: It has a decent amount of sound fonts (your basics: Ahsoka, Anikin, Vader etc.) several different color options as well as blade styles.It even has three song tracks which was a nice addition.The hilt is a nice quality, the rubber grips are rubber and not plastic which is nice.It's "Vader Inspired" meaning, it has the same color scheme, and grips, but is missing the control box and the larger emitter shroud that Vader has, otherwise it's still pretty cool.It's made with a nice quality aluminum and rubber as well.It's pretty good for spinning, the pommle has a nice counter weight to the top of the saber.Cons: ***The little greeblies at the emmiter section (They look like screws) can rattle loose if you are smacking the saber around. They tighten back up, it's just something to keep in mind.***Also, because the sound core (the guts of the saber) is a cheaper quality, it will not remember settings for each sound font. Meaning, if you have your saber on say, Vader and you choose the breathing blade style, with a red blade, that will be the color and style for every other sound font as well. It's not a deal breaker, but something to keep in mind that is nicer on higher quality sound cores have.***There is also not any app support with this saber either. Again, not a deal breaker, I have two Sabneo sabers which don't have app support either.***Speaker quality is "ok", it won't knock your socks off.***Closing thoughts***I am very happy with this saber for it's price. If you were to look at other sabers at this price range, it's really a gamble that you will get a saber with actual sound fonts from movie sabers.The nice thing is that it's very easy to swap out a different sound core in this saber (something I plan to do later) if you wanted to. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with this being your first saber. I think you'd be very happy with it.

WOW! - Great toy! - as a hard core Star Wars fan this was a dream to receive - came fully charged and worked right out of the box - very nice!

This. Is. Fun. It’s exactly as described but it’s pretty advanced as far as learning what motion vs button press does what. I wouldn’t recommend this to an impatient kid. You’ve gotta learn combos essentially to get this thing to work. It reacts to contact with the Sabre utilizing special noises and lights. All in all a great purchase it just requires some practice.

Good value and feel but...the one button design is WAY TOO confusing. This has only one button that controls several different functions...sound, color, volume, on/off, flashing, etc. It's too much. this is a big flaw in this and if you are okay spending the time to figure it out then go for it.

It's a lightsaber. And a very good one at that. I bought it as a gift and he loved it. Lights work fantastic, but I can't speak for the rest. Looks very well made.
