1 month review: Really like the ice maker, can’t beat the ice it makes.
The media could not be loaded. Great ice maker. Was afraid I’d have to write a bad review on longevity but a quick glance at the troubleshooting tips my problem was solved. I came home to find it very loud…Screaming Loud. Turned it off, back on and didn’t solve problem. Read in trouble shooting tips to unplug it for an extended period. I unplugged mine for about an hour and a half, plugged it back in and it is working fine, at its normal sound level and producing its wonderful ice again. The normal operating sound level as some have said is noticeable, louder than a refrigerator, but if you cherish absolute quiet you may want to have it tucked away. This little machine has got me to up my water intake as wonderfully cold water is only a scoop of wonderful chewable ice away. I love how this type of ice takes on the flavor of the drink you have in it. Lemonade, Ice Tea, Coke, Pepsi…etc. It produces ample ice for a household of two. I put excess ice into my freezer’s ice dispenser so I can stockpile these wonderful little chewable nuggets. As far as the problem I had, I’ll upload a video of the sound it was making ahead of unplugging the ice maker. I think somehow it must have frozen up inside and all it took was a bit of time to defrost. I hope it keeps running, It is my favorite kitchen tool. So after one month of use, I highly recommend this ice maker.

Seriously Misrepresented
Amazon was 100% correct in their suspicion of reviews for this item. When I first tried to review it, there was a glitch in the delivery notifications. . . still is for that matter. Amazon posted a red warning that it was only allowing verified purchases to review this because of suspicious activity. I applaud them for being on their game.OMG. If I could give it less than one star, I would. It is literally the loudest appliance in the house. I have an open kitchen/living room floor plan and I've never had to turn up the TV because of the fridge or even the dishwasher until now. With this ice maker, you definitely do. I kid you not when I tell you it scared the dog. The reviewers who said this thing was quiet, got it as part of a free promotion. It's not difficult to connect the dots from there. The only place I would run this is in the garage with the door to the house closed. In addition, it puts out A LOT of heat on both sides of the unit. It wasn't as hot as my toaster oven, but it wasn't far from it. I guess you could use it as a space heater in the winter in a pinch. For the amount of ice it it makes and how long it takes, I wouldn't keep it if you gave it to me for free. You're not going to be filling up a hydroflask 32oz or 40oz without freezing bags of ice you can dip into. Forgot about the 64oz bottles. It's a very heavy machine with a large footprint on the counter I had hoped it might give the the big boy brands a run for their money. It's pretty. Looks like it could but the only thing going for it is the pretty blue light. A very hard pass on this. I have portable $60 ice maker still running that makes 3 times the ice in the same amount of time. I bought it because of the "nugget" feature. I guess we're going back to the cubes. Wow. . . just don't know what else to say. Good call Amazon.

Noisy, but great ice cubes
We've had this for 2.5 months. It's a mixed bag.If you're standing next to this when it's running, it's difficult to hear someone in the next room. The "quiet" part of the cycle is 60 decibels (measured at 3 feet/1 meter). That's like having a normal conversation happening right next to you. The "noisy" part of the cycle is 65 db. That's like being seated next to a noisy group in a restaurant. We frequently turn it off when we're in the kitchen, but this is mostly manageable.Unfortunately, in the last couple of weeks, the belts have started slipping, and it squeaks from 70 to 80 decibels. This is not a small increase: 80 db is twice as loud as 70 db. This is in the "vacuum cleaner" and "kitchen blender" range of noise. It is very disruptive. Additionally, this started after two months of daily, ordinary (small) household use. Either we were unlucky and got a "lemon", or these units are not very durable. This is our second countertop ice maker. Compared to our previous one, it makes very nice, small ice cubes. The ice cubes are smaller than our first one, which means they're even better for chewing, with less risk of a cracked tooth. The ice bucket is smaller than our previous one. This one is prettier and takes up a little less space on the countertop. As is typical, this is an ice "maker", not a freezer. None of them chill the ice after it's made, and this one has basically no insulation. This means that most of the time, a full bucket of ice melts 6–10 hours. On the downside, that means that if you have a full bucket of ice and turn the machine off, then it will all be melted later. On the upside, that means that it's not running up your electric bill round the clock. (You can leave it turned on overnight or while you're at work, in which case it will noticed the empty bucket and make more ice.)Cleaning was easy, but the plug is on the bottom, so you have to be able to move the whole unit over the sink, but after that it was easier than our old one.

Good Pebble Ice (Loud-ish).
I do love this ice makers and find it easier to clean than the name-brand option we used before. It is a little loud so we store it in a pantry. The pebble ice is perfect, though! After using for about 5 months it's started to randomly turn off and we've haven't figured out why. Just have to turn it back on and wait 15 minutes or so for it to refill, not a big enough issue to take the time to package and replace (yet).
