Its awesome
Listen up , I dont write reviews very often at all but this rice is amazing! I decided to eat a lit more Japanese based foods and thought if I'm going to do that I would do the research to get the best ingredients. This rice is supposed to be the number one go to for Japanese and they are serious about their rice as it's a staple of every day life for them.....I rinsed it put it in my rice cooker and man it is a million times better than any rice I've made before.....its dense thick and I can taste the quality...so I absolutely love this rice and as long as I can afford it it's all I will buy and make from now on! Love love love it!!!

Daily Lunch
I eat this rice daily. It's plenty sticky, and serves me well for my many dishes.I learned to roll sushi, and rice balls (onigri) with it.Works in any modern rice cooker.

Great quality rice, but misleading labeling!
**Fair warning to everybody out there: they purposely leave out any information that this rice is grown in Fukushima!I did some research and it says that it's safe to eat, but there's not a single chance at all I would've purchased this product which is of course nonrefundable being a food item from Amazon. These guys should not be allowed to sell this item like this... tons of pictures and paragraphs while leaving the most vital and important information out about the product. Shame on them.I am a regular consumer of high-end sushi rice from Japan and I purchased for many different prefectures and also from Amazon and never had this issue before. That being said, the general consensus online is that it is safe to eat and very delicious but that is not a chance that I'm willing to take!

Easy to use
The contents are packed in 6 vacuum bags, and that is good. However, considering the price, the amount of rice is less. That's a minus point.

A tasty brick of rice
The individual 1.5 cup packets are vacuum sealed and very brick like. But once you slice it open, it is like normal rice.Instructions are pretty useless, just "make rice". Which is fine, if you know how to make rice. We made the rice in our electric rice cooker like normal. I used about 1.75 cups of water, I think it said to use 2 cups. The resulting rice was a bit mushy looking and it was softer than the white rice I get from the grocery store. It wasn't bad, just different. I think I prefer the "normal" rice. The only real instruction it had was you don't need to rinse. Which didn't really jive with what I experienced. When I put the water it, it became super extreme cloudy, more so than any other rice I've made. I spent a few times trying to rinse it and it never really got clear. But it tasted fine and I didn't get ill, so not a big deal. The instructions provided in the product listing images are different than what they have in the product listing text.In the image it states to 1 - open package, add 2 cups of water, 2 - Soak the rice in cold water for 30 minutes, 3 - Just cook the rice! ("Just cook the rice!" is so not helpful.)The text instructions state: No need to rinse the rice. Just add water and cook.So which is it? Are we supposed to soak the rice or not? There are no English instructions on the packaging and using a translate app did not bring anything back other than "if you are concerned with it being cloudy, rinse." Again...in their product listing title and copy they state you don't need to rinse it, that it is "no-rinse rice".

Wonderful, no way back
Fabulous, delicious with wonderful texture, just like the rice I enjoyed in Japan. Thevarieties of ‘US grow Japanese rice’ on the market has no comparison to this. Be sure to use a rice cooker - also the measurement in the cooking instruction is not meant for regular measure cups but rather ‘rice cups’. The ‘no washing’ invention is so interesting and unique to the Japanese culture, I learned something while eating this delicious rice. The revelation is that I can never go back to the ‘regular rice’ any more after this…
