This is the little seedling packet that could.I have been very interested in watching its progress over time from my work desk. That’s why I have a ton of pictures!I got sick during my 24 hour water soaking phase and didn’t get my Jacaranda seeds planted until 36-40 hours after I started soaking them. 😅They were very forgiving and about a week after I planted them I started seeing little sprouts 🌱 popping up. About 2 weeks after planting I got a little greedy and split the shoots into mutiple containers.I am now a month into it and they are continuing to grow healthy as can be. Part of the group that was split out went to another desk next to mine without a simple light bar over it. The size difference was dramatic after a week.I highly recommend trying this! I’m only a month into but it’s been fun to watch even if patience is hard…. If in doubt give it a try!

So the kit itself is good. No complaints there.The seeds are great. Germinated in about 2+ weeks with only a couple exceptions.They give you a TON of seeds and of the 16 seeds that I started, 12 have germinated so far (started on 3/25/2025 and it is currently 4/11/2025).I didn't even use all the seeds yet. I still have about 8 more in the fridge that are cold strating and the supplemental pack included in the kit in case these were a bust.Definitely worth the price of the kit for the seeds alone.The grow medium disk will handle about 4 of the seeds. Used Miracle-Gro Seed Starting Mix of the seeding trays, fyi.

Do not buy! The pot spontaneously broke spreading seeds and soil onto my carpeted! Recovery of the seeds and soil is impossible! And I can't attach a picture of the broken pot!

I have planted 7 of the seeds i got in the kit and got 5 sprouts. So as long as you follow the instructions they do work as advertised and you only need water this kit provides everything else. The sprouts are to young to be able to say it's what I paid for. But if it turns out to be something different then I will update this review. But so far I'm 100% pleased with the results and this kit. You will need to get lava rocks for once they are ready to transplant and they will go under the soil. But other then that you have everything you need to get started. Actually I have 1 issue. The soil or something cause the pot to split all the way down 1 side. Not sure how that happened. So the pot is pretty much worthless. I have cheap soft plastic cups doing better then the pot included. Watch it closely for the first couple of days after putting the soil and seeds if using the pot coming in the kit. But I personally recommend going with a better option there. Plus they have the seed guarantee. If the ones they send don't sprout they will send more. That is great news. But if your experience is like mine then you won't need to use that option. Put your seeds in the freezer for a couple of days to trick the seeds, then when your ready to start germination they come out of hibernation and you will get sprouts. Maintain a room temp of 65 to 70 degrees and keep your soil moist so the sprout can push its way out of the outer shell and I will work. It took about 3 weeks after pulling them from the freezer to sprout a plant. But don't use a freezer that's to cold a cold fridge will also help with its natural winter cycle.

The growing process is very relaxing and enjoyable. The tools are of excellent quality, making plant care much easier.I highly recommend it for anyone looking to start with bonsai, and it also makes a perfect gift for anyone who loves gardening!

Ok! Let me be clear about this. This is the story of trying to grow these seeds into saplings and how it is way harder than it looks.I followed the little booklet, jotting down my journey in a notebook. I will say the pot given... Exploded. It does not handle moisture well, so I had to plant the seeds in a seedling tray.On day 13, I noticed activity and saw sprouting on day 14. From 14 onwards, I watched these three sprouts and watered them when the soil got dry.HOWEVER! My first mistake was moving the seedlings to different pods. On day 25, I noticed some wilting on two and they ended up drying after I pulled them out to see if it was root rot. The last one was also wilting and today, day 31, I accidentally knocked it with my hand and it broke in half.I will try again by soaking new seeds but this is not very beginner-friendly. Yes you can get seeds to sprout but there isn't much info on what to do next once you do.Also the booklet failed to mention other facts like it takes a year for the sprouts to be ready to be replanted into an actual bonsai pot and it takes 3 years before you can start shaping them. A lot of missing information is left out and I highly encourage others to do their research before jumping into this.To the sellers, please going forward, provide the customers with information that is important to cultivating their future bonsai trees.

This Bonsai kit comes with everything you need to get started with this really cool project! I love the thoughtfulness of extra seeds and the little tools. My kids and I just started this, so I will post an update of how the tree grows. Can’t wait!

The instructions that came with this kit are amazing. Walking you through every step. I could tell just by the high quality of that, that I had made a great purchase. Every seed I have planted has sprouted. No issues. I did put my pot on a plant heating pad to try and keep the dirt warm, and I think the heat split the pot. I don’t even care about that, I’m just so elated that all the seeds sprouted! Can’t wait to see all my little plants grow up!!
