So far so great.
I’ve used the distiller twice already and it worked great. I wish there were more directions. Example, it doesn’t tell you how often to change the carbon filter. There was also another rubber ring included and it didn’t say what it was for. I figured it must be part of the packing since the distiller worked without it. It’s hard to pour the water out of the pitcher without it going all the place. There is no pour lip on it, but I understand it would probably interfere with the seal of the steam. Just wish it would pour without me dumping a lot of it out.

Works, but I'm not sure worthwhile
This review is for the CO-Z Water Distiller CO-Z, Stainless Steel Distilling Pure Water Machine for Home Countertop Table Desktop, 4 Liter Water Purifier to Make Clean Water for Home, 4 Liter Distilled Water Making Machine.I use a good bit of distilled water for my counter top steam oven. One can buy a lot of distilled water for the price of the CO-Z still. However the stores don't always have distilled water when I need it, which makes the CO-Z a viable proposition. The CO-Z works well but it is a bit of a pain to set up. I chose not to use the supplied pitcher. I use a two liter laboratory beaker instead. My tap water measures 578 ppm dissolved solids. After distillation I measure 5 ppm, with a pH of 6. The residue left behind is a whole lot of disgusting brown gunk. Thoughtfully CO-Z supplies a decalcifying product. The "Reset" button does not work. Bizarrely the CO-Z trouble shooting instructions say that if the reset button doesn't work, turn the unit off from the switch on your power strip.Conditionally recommended if you use a lot of distilled water.

Easy to use
This distiller is easy to use. Out of the box, I wiped the parts down. The collection container needs to have the handle attached which is two screws. Once that's attached, fill the reservoir, close the unit and plug it in to run it. The distiller is not very loud and doesn't heat the room up significantly. The distiller comes with cleaning powder for cleaning the unit once complete. The distiller can produce about 4 liters of distilled water in the 4 hour run cycle.

It Started Smoking :(
Lucky I was doing work in the kitchen, otherwise it could have been really bad.

Works Well But Do I Detect A Smell
I chose this unit primarily to distill water for my CPAP machine as well as providing water to my daughter who claims her plants prefer to be watered with distilled water (I am not convinced but hey why not). This seems built as well as most appliances these days and performs the task of distilling the water well (although I have no way of testing it to ensure purity). When I used my normal tap water there were a lot of mineral deposits left in the bottom so I now use my soft water from the other taps and it leaves much less sediment. Either way it cleaned up very easily with a bit of Barkeepers Friend, which is what I used to clean all my stainless steel cookware. After just three uses you can see from the photo that there is a lot of discoloration in the stainless but it doesn't impact the performance that I notice (note I don't think that bit that looks like rust is actually rust, just a color variation but over time we will see)The only downside from my view is that I think, even after 3 cycles, that I detect a bit of rubber hose smell in the water in the pitcher once distilled. Oddly I asked other folks to have a sniff and they didn't get the smell at all, although my son said maybe if pressed he picked up something metallic in the smell. Since I am not using this for drinking water it is no big deal to me but I am hoping over time that this goes away as I see this as a great unit to clean up hard water for any use, including drinking.

Easy To Set Up & Use
I drink a lot of water and have been using small countertop water filtering jugs. I've been reading up on alternatives and thought I'd try this method of cleaning up the drinking water (our city water is not as clean as I would like so I never drink faucet water). It comes with good instructions that are easy to understand. I got it up and running quickly and the water coming out of it tastes really good. So far I'm happy with it. Recommended

Works great!
This product works excellently! The instructions are easy to follow and understand. After using this system, the water tastes fantastic. I have well water, which is very hard and often has a rusty taste that I dislike. With this system, the water now tastes like bottled water.
