I ordered this for my son as a birthday gift. He’s always loved working on cars, so now he’s taking classes to become a certified mechanic. He needed a laptop to use for classroom use and to take into the workshop so I wanted to get him a rugged one.I won’t go into the specifics for the laptop because there are plenty of online reviews which led me to this model, so I’ll just talk about the condition of this since it’s a reconditioned unit.It came in a blank brown box, packaged very well in a formed bubble wrap bag. It was very secure and arrived without any damage. Included was the laptop, the keyboard dock, and the power supply. It did not come with a manual, but you can get an online version from the Getac website. It did not come with a stylus, but my son found a place online and was able to order a genuine Getac one with a lanyard which works perfectly.The screen was in perfect shape. This model has a screen protector, so it looks like either a new one was installed during reconditioning or it was treated well by the previous user. Cosmetically, the laptop looked perfect. I’ve never seen a new one so I don’t know if this is how they come from the factory, but this one seems to have a custom-fit skin applied to the rear of the laptop. This may be to cover scratches on the original unit if it wasn’t factory applied, but it looks like it could be OEM because the fit is absolutely perfect.All of the port covers were present and in perfect condition. If I didn’t know that this was a refurbished model, I would have just assumed that it was brand-new.The batteries were completely discharged when it arrived so it needed to be charged right away. Both batteries charged well and the laptop meets the expected run time so they seem to be in good shape.The description says that it has Windows 10, but this one came with Windows 11 installed and it was already configured with Getac settings.The only issue seemed to be that there was one USB device that reported to not be working when the keyboard dock was installed. It showed up in Device Manager as a malfunctioning device, but I went to the Getac website and downloaded and reinstalled the drivers and this error went away. I don’t know which driver fixed it because I installed all of them. I tested every port and they are all functional.My son has been using it heavily since the day I gave it to him, and he says that it’s absolutely perfect for what he needs. He has been thrilled with his “new” laptop for classroom and shop work. He says that he’s going to buy a new set of batteries, not because anything is wrong with the ones that came with it, but just so that he can swap them out if he needs to go a long time without the charger.I’m always a little worried when I buy refurbished devices, but in this case, it seemed to be the same as buying a brand-new laptop.

Mine did not come with any of the Getac utilities installed and after numerous failed attempts i finally reached out to Getac via E-Mail and they were able to get my issues fixed and I’m now able to use the full features of the tablet. The seller should have already done this considering they sell it as “fully restored”. When it arrived the stylus would not work and i also wasn’t able to program any of the buttons in the front as advertised in the owners manual i had to download offline. You will need to download drivers for a lot of the features/hardware to work correctly. Now that i have it all operating right it’s perfect for me and was just what i needed. Batteries are meh, i plan to upgrade them to the high capacity ones, had a few dings on it, but nothing that effects the operation of the device. I would have given it 5 stars if everything worked right out of the box as it was complicated to get some of the features working.

Data mining has been a huge thorn to society, and giving Microsoft money for this program only encourages them. Putting it on a computer people use for work is diabolically evil. I recommend avoiding this product completely until the seller offers it with an appropriate operating system. Hardware works good though.

Wanted a ruggedized laptop and this product more than fulfills that requirement. Love the programmable buttons.

Good device all works, item is originally gray, it has I assume is protective stickers all over it.Works great for what I need it to do. Minor scratches on the screen. You can tell it’s a used unit. But that’s what I paid for

machine is nice and tough, but no 4g lte. and the 3g lte. did not work at all, and getac web site dont have any driver utyllities to get things working, and i was not able to register the product with getac, and further more the pen don't work at all, and i coudn't find a driver to make it work. seller needs to inspect units well, and ensure that every driver is installed to make everything work the way it should be, and save the buyer the hasel of returning the product. i paid to much money for something that looks very nice, and works good specially windows 11 pro. on this machine is a good thing, but never the less, machine has limitted functunallity. and now i have to return it to vendor, and that takes time out my work day to do, it becomes a hassel.

Honestly if it didn’t come in bubble wrap I’d think the thing was brand new. They did a heck of a job cleaning it up. Absolutely zero scratches or anything on it. The laptop itself is built like a brick. I mean that in a good way. So far it’s run a few games and can multitask. Heck of a buy for the price.
