Love this Matcha!
This is my go to matcha, is good, very good quality and good price it doesn’t last me even 5 days cause I drink it so much love it! I am more of a coffee drinker but this makes me drink more matcha than coffee is just less acidic on the stomach and doesn’t make you crash after drinking or jittery so the energy level is smooth. Also the perfect green.

Probably the best matcha brand I’ve tried
The matcha mixes smoothly and is not gritty. I often use it to make a matcha latte with oat milk in the heated frother I purchased from Amazon as well.

Expired product being sold as new
Very dull in color and similar to the ad photo described as “theirs”. I noticed there was a new best before label May 2026 stuck over the old date and when I pealed it back it revealed a use by date of May 2025 which explains the dull color. Be wary of buying expired product!

OKAY ceremonial grade matcha; the powder is a litter bitter & not sweet as expected; is it tested?
My goto matcha is PANATEA ceremonial grade from Japan. However, this matcha is also grown and harvested (the first harvest) in Japan and I wanted to see how it compares. It is important that matcha be made with quality leaves from a trusted source in Japan that has their leaves regularly tested for lead and other contaminants. Selectively sourced matcha not only tastes good but is supposed to be healthy too with lots of antioxidants and other components. This matcha tastes okay but it is not as great as I expected. I used one heaping matcha scoop's (i.e. chashaku) worth with 3 ounces of 180 degree Fahrenheit (never boiling) water and then whisked it to a froth. This “electric green tea powder” makes an okay but barely frothy, vegetable, and slightly bittersweet brew. It does dissolve well. I tasted the powder by itself and it was slightly bitter. The best ceremonial grade matcha should taste sweet and not bitter, so that was what I was expecting. Unfortunately, I cannot find, either on the can or on the Amazon site, whether this matcha has been tested for contaminants. The can also does not have directions. Instead it has a QR code that takes me to a site on how to make a matcha latte. It is best to put the can in the fridge after it is opened to preserve the freshness of the matcha. In summary, this is okay ceremonial matcha. It is not as sweet as it should be, both written directions (QR code is not acceptable to me) and testing results are missing, and it does not whisk to as great a froth as others I tried. The current price of $19.50 is competitively priced for 1.05 ounces. For those who consume matcha regularly, I recommend getting the following items or the equivalent.- chawan (match bowl)- chasen (matcha whisk) with chashaku (matcha scoop) and matcha spoon- chasen naoshi (matcha whisk keeper / stand) - not that an electric frother like this can be used instead to make mixing easier

Not quite what I expected, but ok
This matcha powder is securely sealed for freshness. The matcha itself isn't as bright green as I'm used to, and there is a bitter edge to the powder that was unexpected.I use the matcha to make bonbons, mixing it with quality chocolate and/or cocoa butter. The bitter note still remains after mixing with chocolate, but it's not as forward at the point. It's also a bit clumpy, making it harder to sift and thoroughly blend with the chocolate or cocoa butter. A bit of work with an immersion blender smoothed things out.As I use matcha powder in an off-label way, I won't 'ding' it for issues I encountered when combining it with chocolate, but the bitter note that remains is a bit off-putting to me.That said, it is a good value and in line with what I typically pay for quality matcha.[This is a review for Matchabar Matcha Powder Tin (30g) - Ceremonial Grade Authentic Japanese Matcha Green Tea Powder - Matcha Green Tea Powder Harvested in Japan - Matcha Tea Powder Latte - Zero Sugar, Vegan & 0 Calories B0CZLQ2T83]

Delicious and high quality!
I’m a bit of a matcha snob and you never know what you’re going to get at a $20 price point. But this is one of the highest quality matchas I’ve ever tried in this price range. It’s delicious, bright green, smooth, and isn’t too bitter or too sweet. I will definitely be buying again.

cute and nice
This matcha powder comes in a cute tin, looks great. I like the tin more than the glass because it keeps light out. Good taste, if you like matcha. I am not a matcha connoisseur so I can't really tell how this differs from normal matcha. But it has a vibrant green color and tastes like matcha.
