This is the best item I have ever purchased for my candle making business. Before getting my wax melter, I was using 3 pots on 1 burner. It was a chore (if you are doing this, you truly understand).Since getting my Botanics wax melter, making candles, melts, and tarts is fun. I can leave the wax warmer on my mix setting all day. I love it!If you don't have one, you need to get this one (not mine, get your own) :) you won't be sorry

This is a very good product, with decent instructions for assembly and use. The parts, and quality of the product components is great. I was able to assemble the device and use it without any difficulty.The size of the melting pot is perfect for home and kitchen counter use. The device has a good weight and the feet offer stability. Each foot base has a rubbery grip pad that rests against the counter surface that prevents the pot from sliding around.The valve arm and pouring spout function is good. I have used melting pots without that feature using a ladle, or tipping the large pot and pouring the wax into a smaller container. This system is easier, safer and cleaner than what I am used to. I still use small mixing pots/pitchers, add fragrance and stir, then pour into containers from the pitchers. I make small batches and I do not add fragrance to the melting pot, to simplify things. Cleaning the pot to remove fragrance is challenging. It's easier and better environmentally to have a mixing pitcher for each fragrance and reuse that pitcher to pour that fragrance, and just have clean wax in the pot that I add to and melt as needed. It's great for making small batches for holidays, for friends or for the occasional craft fair. I like leaving the wax in the pot in between uses, and the lid keeps the wax free of dust or particles.The heat settings worked the first time, and I'll update with any future news on performance and function. I was able to adjust the temp to reliably stay at or below 200 degrees, which is important to me. It's easy to get distracted and I don't want the wax to ever get too hot or get ruined.I use soy blend wax mix with this melting pot. I make both soy blend and bees wax candles. I do not use bees wax in this pot system because bees wax is much harder to clean and melt away. Given the pour spout and valve system, would probably work fine with bee wax but it's far easier to use soy wax, coconut wax, blend with the melting pot. I'm confident that the bees wax, which I use less of, is better reserved for the double boiler method and again avoiding any cleaning of the large melting pot to switch out waxes.The entire pot is attractive. The branding and label is cute. The details and quality are very nice. I'm happy with this pot and I'm glad I ordered it. The images and the ad are reliable in my experience. I'm impressed. It's a good value.I used an electric screw driver for assembly, but the tools needed for assembly are included and work well.5 stars

It's a bit bulky in size but it's pretty cool. Hopefully it will last long and work well. Well try to update after a few uses.

This pretty much instantly took over as my favorite melter.It heats up quickly, it has ample space, and the spigot is icing on the top. It feels very well-built and I have no doubts that it'll last me a good long time. Considering a few more so I can have various melted product at hand at a time.

Do not buy.I do not recommend this melting pot. The legs are wobbly and the screws or holes are stripped. I can not tighten them. The small box inside the pot the tape seal was already broken. I ordered a new one. I do not believe this one is new. If it is then the legs are way loose. I keep being sent used item.I paid full price I think.I do not recommend this one.Im so disappointed! I waited quite awhile for it to even get here.

First things first, there is some assembly required. You have to put together everything, basically. Because of this, it took me a few days to want to bother with it. But, I eventually did it and all the tools you need to get the job done are included.Now, I have to say that this melter performs amazingly. The inside is non-stick, so cleaning it was a breeze. Once I managed to get all the wax out, I just had to wipe it down.To begin, I started with a pound of wax, which is actually going to bring the melted wax to just below the spout, so I had to tip it forward to pour it. I know better for next time. I initially thought this would be good for smaller type projects, but it seems this melter is best suited for projects using more than 3 pounds of wax. It does seem kind of diminutive in size, but it actually has a lot of space inside of it.The wax melted, like, suuuper quick. I was actually surprised. I think this completely beats out the double-boiler method I typically use in both size and time. And honestly, for the price, I'd say you get your money's worth - and then some. With how quickly the wax melts and the easy cleaning - you'll be making batches in no time, so I'd say it's worth it for the price.

I bought the melter as a gift for my best friend, as she loves making her own wax for use. She told me she was only able to use it once and then second time it stopped working. She was not happy about it. The temperature control did not work properly after using the first time, she kept increasing the temperature, but nothing changed.
