Hold onto your seats! This is a absolutely emotionally charged, marathon of a book that keeps up the tempo and the events till the very last page, wringing out the emotion and passion. The prologue is almost too gentle for the book, a middle of the night wake up and then a new job and boss. From the second that the plot absorbs the prologue the foot is down to the metal and the story races along.The emotions are full and both lead characters are fully invested with the wounds and wants and needs very clearly exposed. The relationship is a fascinating one and into this is woven business, ailing parents, a cruel and mad ex alongside underhand mafioso like business dealings,The pace of the book is great Andi was very much pulled along always looking out for what might come, or the next twist. The book is a very long one, and I got a little exhausted in the last quarter, as the punch’es are still not being pulled and there is still so much going on, nothing is simple, there is treachery everywhere and the action is hard and brutal.The book deserves the four out of five for the addictive qualities, I just needed a rest to be able to finish it!
