Easy read and implement
Being an over thinker myself I wanted something easy to read that wouldn’t lead to me giving up after ploughing through a few chapters of just theory. This book is an easy read and makes complete sense with practical strategies I could actually follow. There were some strategies I was already using, but this book gave me new ideas to try and also strategies and ideas I may try in the future. I also loved the fact I could get it as an audio book ( my preferred way to listen to a book) I was able to listen at bedtime and practice the skills while I listened (as bedtime is when a lot of my overthinking kicks in) I would recommend this book

Chase Hill has done it again!
I came across the work of Chase Hill a couple of years ago and found every book I have read so far invaluable in my personal and professional life. Invariably, as a Clinical Psychotherapist myself, I quote him to almost every client sooner or later on simple, accessible ways to improve their mental health."Switch Off Overthinking" is no exception. Again, Chase has drilled down on a number of ways to do this.I can thoroughly recommend this book to anyone suffering from overthinking and to fellow professionals seeking practical tips and techniques to offer clients. Don't overthink this decision - buy the book and see for yourself!

Beautifully written
I love the way the prose flows and the content just speaks to me. I have GAD and have read many books on anxiety, and this is up there with the best. Overthinking and rumination dominate my anxiety and this book addresses those issues in an easy to understand manner.

Focus
Overthinking is a form of anxiety. Why? Because overthinking is also worrying. I know this because anxiety has been my constant companion for the past 10 years of my life after I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I know that you probably don't suffer from the same condition as I have, but I know overthinking is something we have in common. It's the "should have's" that really gets me most times. It's the nagging thought of the days event and the things that I should have done are what constantly go through my mind. The thought that I might have offended or wronged someone keeps bugging me at night. Therefore, this book. The title is actually an acronym for the chapters. As someone who struggles with overthinking, this book presents me with great insights and techniques on how to overcome it. Most of the steps resonated with me and some I already did but found less helpful for me. But still, there's a bunch strategies I have yet to try. With this book, you will learn how to focus on the present and how to become more rational. It provides practical guidance for quieting your restless mind. This advice resonate with me most, "Separate urgent from important. Urgent tasks often come from the expectations of others, and you have a habit of taking over what’s important to you."

Overthinking NO MORE
The book is a game-changer for anyone caught in the cycle of overthinking and anxiety. Drawing from practical coping skills commonly taught in therapy, Hill provides readers with a comprehensive toolkit for managing stress, quieting the mind, and finding peace in the present moment. What sets this book apart is its common-sense approach and actionable strategies for real-world application. Whether you struggle with occasional overthinking or have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, Hill's insights offer a path to relief and empowerment. As someone who has battled with overthinking and anxiety, I found Hill's techniques to be both practical and transformative. From stress reduction methods to reframing negative thought patterns, each chapter is a step towards reclaiming control of one's mind and emotions. What I appreciate most about "Switch Off Overthinking" is its emphasis on taking action. Hill doesn't just offer advice; he challenges readers to put these strategies into practice, knowing that true change requires commitment and discipline.

Well Put-Together and Well-Written Book
This is a well put-together book on how to stop overthinking. I agree to what the book says about "anyone who doesn't overthink will never truly understand just how debilitating it is." I sometimes still feel affected by events that happened decades ago, unable to let go as I continue to overthink its impact to the present day. The strategies in this book are concrete and nicely categorized into the acronym "SWITCH OFF", which made memory retention and recollection easier. It tackles the issue from all angles, and the I like the style and voice of the writing.

Quality content
This book delivers on it's promise and delivers a ton of useful practices that give the mind something healthy to chew on. Ultimately it is up to the reader to implement the strategies presented here, but if they do, it is difficult to imagine that they will not enjoy success.
