Everyone needs to try these at least once
These are fun to try them out. You can surprise your friends or family with something most people have not tried. For when you see those fancy plates of food with gold that are extremely expensive. You and your family will not be tempted to buy something based on it having gold. This is much cheaper and reasonable to do.It's not the same as me explaining it as you actually trying these out.But in my own words they do not have a taste. I would describe it as eating a thin aluminum golden sheet. It doesn't desolve immediately in your mouth.It's somewhat interesting in my opinion. I haven't tried them with food yet. As I wanted to sink my senses into it's texture and feeling the experience.

Small but easy to use
The gold sheets are really small but they work as intended. The gold sheets come sandwiched between 2 pieces of paper so that they are easily removed. It is super lightweight and fragile so you have to handle it carefully. I would recommend these gold sheets for use on cakes, pastries, and other desserts.

BUYER BEWARE!
Horrible! THIS IS NOT EDIBLE!!!. Wanted to put it on a cake, so I ate a leaf first. It didn't dissolve in my mouth and it turned into a metal ball! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Well-made, easily usable gold leaf for baking
The media could not be loaded. I used this gold leaf to decorate a birthday cake. We were pleasantly surprised to find that a little goes a long way! We used 5 sheets of gold leaf to decorate the side of this 10 inch cake in the photo. The gold sheets are a lovely deep gold color, as expected for 24K.I tore up the gold leaf with tweezers, then applied the gold leaf pieces with a dry paintbrush to the cake. The gold leaf was surprisingly easy to use, our 6-year-old helped me decorate with relative success! (See video.) The cake had a buttercream frosting and we chilled the cake for several hours before decorating. I started out brushing alcohol (rum is what we had on hand) on the frosting to dampen it before applying the gold. But then I switched to water. Alcohol or water would work just fine to apply the gold leaf! We also used it to decorate cherries, and it also worked very well!I was glad to find the gold leaf wasn’t overly sticky and even if it folded onto itself, we were generally able to unfold it. The gold leaf is very delicate and light, if we breathed a little too hard, it would blow away.Highly recommend! We ordered multiple packs to use for future decorating!

Very beautiful
This was my first time using gold leaf paper so I didn't know what to expect. I've watched other cake decorators application process prior to applying. I used a clean paint brush to manipulate the gold pieces once they were on the cake. I wouldn't recommend using your hands because the leaf paper is very dainty and sticks to your skin easily. For the most part it is easy to use and manipulate once on the cake. The cake sat in the fridge for about 4 hours and in 80 degree hot humid weather for two hours and the gold did not budge.I think it you're wanting to try this out but don't want to pay a fortune it's a greater starter package. The sheets are fairly small less than 2" by 2".
