If you want to make 'proper' home-made gravy with no mixes yoneed gravy browning which colours the gravy without adding flavour (which you get from the meat juices plus a stock cube) or salt (which you want to control carefully). That's where gravy browning comes in. But finding it in a supermarket is nearly impossible. With two bottles I'll probably never need any more for the rest if my life, being an old man if 74! If I could suggest a slight improvement... a nozzle in the bottleneck as you only want a small drop... or your gravy will be black!
