Locking Detachable Rotary Docking Latches for Harley Davidson Sissy Bar and Luggage Rack

Thank you Airwing for the speedy delivery; was recieved earlier than the shipping window originally projected. These latches are awesome! Solid metal construction and very nice paint for weather protection. Went on in about ten minutes total and work perfectly on my two-up Tour-Pak. They came as advertised with locks built into each side and two keys for each side and although the keys have different numbers on them the keys are interchangeable (all keys work both locks) so only need to carry one key. Only observation I have to offer others is that the lock winds up at the top of the latch when the latch is turned into place and it is right alongside the side plate of the mounting rack. This requires you to reach through the hole in the sideplate to insert the key to unlock it. The key requires very minimal turning to get the lock to pop up but I can see someone with large mitts possiably having a hard time getting it unlocked (best to try unlocking it a few times while OFF the bike first!). I will feel much more secure while travelling that I won't come out of a restaurant or hotel and find the entire Tour-Pak gone!! I highly reccomend these latches.

I have never had a reason to worry about anything being stolen off of my motorcycle and I honestly don’t think I do now. At least not from other bikers/motorcycle enthusiasts. However, there is always a possibility that someone may want to try to sell something they can get off the back of a motorcycle. This lock is perfect. Easy to install and easy to operate. The two locks and two keys you get are great. Both locks were keyed the same so I can throw one lock on mine and the other on my wife’s or buddies bike. Great product. Thanks.

They seem to work well but tough to get the right angle to unlock underneath a tour pack. It can be done but I have to almost hold the barrel key at a ninety degree angle between index and middle finger. I’m also a little concerned about corrosion and what happens if I can’t get ‘em unlocked for removal.

As others have mentioned. These won’t keep your item from walking away if someone really wants it, but nothing would keep my entire bike from doing the sameWhat it does do is prevent it from walking away easilyIf you are parked in a somewhat busy traffic area or even where dozens of other bikes are then someone could take your item if unlocked without drawing too much attention but if they need to work at it a little bit then that might cause enough concern for someone to question what is going onAlso others have mentioned it doesn’t fit right. Or rattlesLook at the pegs on your docking bracket, they can be reversed ( take off and flip them around, just the peg )as well as turned to adjust the fit as they are or at least I read that they are not evenly round which would make sense so you can adjust the fitment that way as wellI bought a two pack. One for my backrest and one for the tour pack

I bought these a while ago when they were about $27. That was a fair price. There's literally no difference between this item and others that are selling for half the price. I've tried and use about 4 different brands purchased from here for my bikes and my various tour packs, luggage racks, etc. Trust me. I wouldn't pay a dime over $30 for sure regardless of how many reviews are here.Important Note - these are easily bypassed by thieves that are prepared. All you need is a hex driver and a flat screw driver (which most dudes have in their road side tool kit) and they are QUICKLY detached from the mount itself! Do not rely on this for something overnight or long periods parked. This is nothing more than a simple and reasonable preventative against a thief that thinks they have an easy quick release and grab theft opportunity.

1) the provided screw does not properly thread and is considerably shorter than the original with the 4mm hex head (these haves a 3mm).2) when mounted properly, the key hole is essentially unreachable when used with a King Tour Pack. They key hole should be rear facing, not top facing.

These were easy to install and very sturdy. Just make sure to follow the directions and use the proper hardware and also add a little oil to the barrel so it will operate better.
