You get what you pay for. These are higher cost but are thicker and of higher quality than many other options. The colour of the wood is accurate to the pictures, the finish is smooth and precise. There is a heft and weight which is also reassuring. I bought a few of these as platforms for my stereo they look that good and also serve to dampen vibrations. I applied a wood oil to stop them drying out which adds a natural character to the color of the wood

great block . well made . good wood . take note of the weight . it is 13 lbs. . this is a big well made board . highly recommend if you are looking for a butchers block .

It is a great cutting board. Looks beautiful in kitchen. This will never warp and will last forever I really am enjoying it. I make sure it’s cleaned after each use.

The black walnut cutting board looks fantastic. It is a nice thickness, lines perfectly flat and is a solid weight. It came with a few rough spots around the fluid grooves that will require some light sanding and reapplication of the mineral oil that came with the board. I would recommend this product.
