I’d been looking for a cover for my recently purchased Canon 200-800mm lens and this particular one caught my eye. At £108 it’s considerably less expensive than the similar LensCoat Realtree cover which, at the time of writing this review, isn’t available for purchase in the UK. The product seems very well made, with neat stitching around the ends. Each section must be fitted in a particular order, which is fine if you can understand the Chinese instructions (this is where Google Translate comes in handy!).The sections themselves are a tight fit, which is probably not a bad thing, although the piece that covers the zoom tightness ring was actually too loose to be of much use so I ended up leaving it off (but only after I’d already fitted the next section, which was a pain because it’s quite difficult to remove once fitted).The portion that fits around the lens barrel once the lens has been extended to 800mm is held in place with Velcro, which is a good idea because once it has been added the lens cannot then be retracted - unless you first remove this section of camo. Personally I’m probably not going to bother with it as I think the lens is adequately protected without it.The RolanPro lens coat is waterproof (if the manufacturer is to be believed) and over all is an excellent choice if you’re looking for some sort of protection for your lens. An excellent product.

I've tried two other brands and this one is, by far, the best fit and the highest quality. It really puts the other manufacturers to shame. It takes a while to slide the covers down the lens barrel but that's because the fit is precise. Take your time and start at the bottom of the lens, otherwise you'll never be able to get the lens covers on. The cover for the zoom is only useful if you plan to leave the zoom fully extended but it can provide protection when it's raining or snowing. The lens foot cover is especially nice providing warmth (the bare metal can be really cold), comfort and protection.

As title states. All is well except on the telescopic portion that extends the lens from 200-800. This portion of camo only attaches via Velcro which means you have to put it on and off which is too impractical in the field unless on a fixed tripod at max zoom 800mm

Quality product, lacked English instructions, but pictograms were pretty good for instructions. One potential concern is the cover wraps the bottom of the tripod mount which might affect stability of connection of lens to the tripod?
