Excellent product, even better customer service
Tl;dr put it on easily, got a pen tip that scratched, but the second tip provided was fine. Astropad customer service is sending me a replacement for free. Easy to apply, feels like pen on paper, and doesn't effect visibility or pressure sensitivity for apple pencil.I ordered this after trying paperlike and finding itdifficult to put it on without bubbles. I stumbled upon astropad after trying to find alternatives to paperlike and wanted to give it a try.The application was simple, amd after cleaning ny ipad screen, it went on smoothly and easily. I put on one of the pen tips provided amd started doing some basic up and down strokes and it scratched and snagged. I was seriously disappointed that I'd already ruined my product without even using it for it's intended purpose!! I then used the second pen tip provided, and it glided across the screen protector like butter. It would seem the first tip was defective.I immediately wrote to Astropad customer service telling them what happened. Within 24 hours, they wrote back a personal message apologizing for the mishap, gathered my information, and are sending a replacement at no cost to me.Please consider this product if you're interested in the pen on paper feel with a removable screen. Other than the initial incident, I've had no trouble with it, and the sensitivity, precision, and visibility is pristine. Overall great product and I will be telling others about it!

Amazing! Totally elevates the Apple Pencil experience.
Amazing! I should have gotten this years ago. It completely elevates the Apple Pencil experience on iPad. Trying with the pencil on the regular screen feels slippery and hard to control for drawing and writing. With this, it feels like you are writing on a pad of paper. Sidebenefit, it cuts the glare on the screen.I don’t know how useful it will be as a screen protector, but I’m hoping that’s an extra benefit. I don’t notice any compromise in picture quality for movies, etc., with just leaving it on all the time. Also, it was very easy to put on. It’s thick, you don’t have to worry about precise application and bubbles, etc., like you do putting on regular screen protectors.A word of caution: On day one, I dropped my Apple Pencil and bent the new metal stylus. Thankfully, it comes with two, but that means I have already used up my spare. Also, it would be nice if they included a little container for your original pencil stylus. You’ll need something to not lose track of your original stylus, because you can’t write on the bare screen with the metal stylus this includes.

Pretty Good
Definitely my favorite screen protector I have tried. I really like the metal pencil tips. Feels really nice and similar to traditional when I draw, and makes it comfortable to sketch the same way I do traditionally. I love how easy it was to install. I always have trouble with other screen protectors and I can never get all the bubbles out but this does not get any bubbles which is awesome. Only thing I don't like is that close up still looks a bit grainy, but less than the other one I used to have. (Why I gave 4 stars)

Rock Paper Pencil 2 is FANTASTIC
I was skeptical, but this is a fantastic screen protector for artists or anyone that uses the Apple pencil a lot. I was previously using the matte protector from Elecom, which is also great, but installation is a pain, which means replacing it is also a pain. I spend a lot of time using Procreate and I wear the protectors out and always dread putting a new one on. Well...NOT ANYMORE, y'all. This was, hands down, the easiest install ever. And the surface is perfect for drawing. Maybe even better than my Cintiq Pro, if I may be so bold. I just love that extra little bit of friction. It's like using a felt tip on good watercolor paper.Don't hesitate to buy this. I'm ordering a spare!

Like my 2nd marriage - it was great while it lasted...until the last month.
I used the Rock, Paper, Pencil for three months before it reached the end of its life. Let's start with the Pros, because they are pretty pro.- The texture is awesome.- The metal nibs have a beautiful feel and sound on the matte protector.- It's REMOVABLE! So you can still enjoy your iPad in full sunlight, just not with the RPP attached.I really, really loved everything about the RPP for the first month. Then the cons started to rear their ugly heads...first as minor annoyances, then...well...you'll see:- The metal nib wore out! And it caused a sharp edge to develop, which put the first scratch on the protector after a month of heavy use. No biggie, it's just one scratch. Replace the nib and order more...- The 2nd nib wore out in much less time, possibly because of existing micro-scratches on the protector doing more damage to the nib? I'm not sure. Nib #2 wore out and started scratching in about 2 weeks.- I'd remove the screen protector once every 1-2 weeks...so not a ton. Every time I removed it, it seemed to collect dust and adhere to the screen a bit less than before. I tried gently cleaning it with water, which did nothing, so I tried rubbing alcohol, which seemed to work, but the "adhesive" stopped sticking after 3 months.Since I have a very nice case, I'm currently using my iPad without a screen protector. It's terrifying, but it's more useable without a screen protector at the moment.I loved this product at first. It was amazing. It felt great. It did what it was supposed to do and delivered on its promises. But as our relationship continued, it turned sour. Promises were broken, performance was sub-par, I was left looking at an empty husk of what once was, remembering the good times as just that -- memories.
