Great media convertor
Used a pair of these to isolate outdoor connections for grounding purposes (or lack thereof). Worked so far and absolutely no setup or lag

Worked out of the box.
SFP modules pre-installed in adapter. Tested without issue. I will be linking my Starlink tower and home - 120 foot distance. Need to trench and lay conduit then pull fiber.

Works perfectly over 1000 feet of OM three multi mode fiber
I had two 1000 foot runs of two strand, OM3 multi mode fiber, so I bought a pair of these transceiver sets and hooked them up in a jiffy. They work perfectly. I’m getting the full 1000 Mbps out of room, as shown in the attached picture.

Worked right out of the box.
This is my first attempt at using Fiber optic. I have 2 buildings that need networked on my property and have been using wireless bridges. It was functional, but slow for large file transfers and weather also created issues. I also wanted the lightning protection.Just to make things more interesting, I decided to pick up 250' of both mixed mode and single mode. Neither run is very long but I figured I can see which will perform better for my needs as the pricing between the 2 technologies is so much closer now.I have not noticed any unusual heat from either of the boxes as others have stated. Once my 2 other boxes arrive I will see if there is a temp difference between the MM and the SM in heat output from the SFP port.

Great product with super simple setup.
I've installed quite a few media converters over the years. This one was extremely easy to setup. No dip switches to sort out and mess with. Just hooked up my fiber jumper and patch cord and away it went. It's been running a couple of months now with zero issues.

Started failing after a month
Initially worked great for the first 2-3 weeks. Getting advertised speeds over 130MB/s.Then at 1 month, intermittent cutouts and dropping to 100BaseT instead of full gigabit. Last two days had to constantly reset both devices by power cycling (read: unplugging and plugging in). Giving up.Believe all the 1 star reviews. These things do not last.
