Birds Like It
Replaced my old broken hummingbird feeder with this one. It's similar to my old one but has a bigger mouth for easier filling. I don't need a funnel anymore. It's colored red which is nice since I use a clear nectar. Easy to clean. Hey, the birds like it too. They're eating more than ever.

Style
These pinched waist feeders seem to be the favorite from the assortment of different style feeders i have. Ill be changing them all out for this particular style moving forward. Easy clean as well.

Feeding the bees, NOT the birds
The media could not be loaded. I struggled with rating this hummingbird feeder. What I like: 1) It has a built in ant moat. 2) The food reservoir is glass. It’s sturdy and seems like it will hold up well over time. I guess that’s all. When I removed it from the box one of the “bee guards” was missing. I found it (broken off) in the bottom of the box. Not a big deal, I glued it back on. To me it wasn’t worth returning because of that as long as it worked. What I DON’T like: 1) It doesn’t come with a hook so I had to find an s hook in order to hang it. 2) This is the biggie. The bee guards? 🙄 NOT! The BEES and wasps LOVE this feeder as much as my old and MUCH CHEAPER feeders which I unfortunately threw away because I fell for this gimmick. I gave it 1 star because I like the red glass reservoir AND I do like the bees because they help my vegetable and flower gardens. We have to be more responsible when it comes to respecting the role bees play in preserving and caring for plants, BUT they swarm to this feeder just like any other. So my advice? If you’re using a cheaper feeder and want to upgrade? For the same price as this one you can get something a lot prettier without “bee guards” because they don’t work. The proof is in the video I posted.

Just works very well but the lightweight construction materials are susceptible to wind
I am on my third feeder. Must be the yellow flowers that seem to hold up from the UV and attract the hummers. I hang my feeder from a secure metal rod attached to the deck railing from my upper floor condo but it has crashed down to the ground during windstorms and the plastic top piece with the bump out for the hanger has ripped in two. I chose a heavier glass and metal feeder with green flowers but it failed to attract any hummers! I went back and purchased a new one during prime day. Can't beat the price and so far so good. Does not attract ants. Love it despite its flaws.

Great feeder but it leaks!
So I ordered this feeder in spite of previous reviews about leaking. Initially it worked great, but sure enough, when the sun heated it up it started dripping. At first some Teflon tape around the threads did the job. But after continued use it started a slow drip again. So I went to the o-ring at the base of the threads fix and that is working so far. It’s a shame that this version leaks because I really like the improvements that the company made over the old version (wide mouth opening, red glass, ant trap). It really is a very sturdy feeder and the hummingbirds are very attracted to it. They now just need to make the seal a little more air tight to stop the leaking issue.Update - ok so all of my efforts to stop this feeder from leaking have proven fruitless. It continues to drip all over our side walk, attracting ants. The company needs to listen to its product reviews and fix this issue. Rating reduced from 3 stars to 1.Update 2 - called Perky-Pet customer service and they were very helpful and understanding. I spoke with Megan who provided me with an email address to obtain a replacement feeder. You need to provide a screen shot of your Amazon receipt, your issue with the feeder, your shipping address and phone number. I got a response within 24 hours stating that my new feeder is on its way and will arrive in 3-5 business days. The email is [email protected]. Their customer service is top notch. I’ll update my review again when I get my replacement feeder.UPDATE 3 - perky Pet sent me a few replacement that I received within 5 days. The new works great! Definitely a design change. No leaking. Seals tight and has all the same new and improved features. CGreat customer service. Thank you Megan. 5 Stars.

Love these!
I have several types of birdfeeders and find these the best. You can put water in the top so ants cannot crawl in. Holds just enough water so the hummingbirds can drink it all before it spoils. Very simple design and easy to clean. I did have one that I bought from a store. It was identical to these except the glass was not red. The loop that you hang it by is plastic. The plastic part broke and I was not able to fix it. I did not use the metal hook that comes with it so that may be why the plastic broke. I had used a wire. I have not had any issues with the ones I ordered from Amazon. But I have not had them very long. I will buy them again .

Easy to Fill but leaks like crazy
The birds love the stand in front of each flower but you be filling this thing up every week! For whatever reason it leaks and the ants and bees appreciate the heck out of that. The glass capsule is nice, it doesn't discolor like the plastic ones do, which they too eventually leak, but this unit leaks immediately. Best you make your own nectar, otherwise you'll go to the poor house using commercial nectar with this unitPerky Pet needs to do a little more quality control and R&D

Cheap Plastic. Squirrels can easily destroy it.
The plastic parts are very cheap, the squirrels easily gnawed the yellow plastic cages and the red bell shape plastic around it and destroyed it. The cages are difficult to clean. I've had several hummingbird feeders in the past that were plastic and hung in the same location as this one and the squirrels never ate them.
