Difficult to use yourself, would be ok for someone else to use on your hair

The SBB Twirl & Curl is versatile and the price isn’t bad either. It’s a ceramic wand enriched with macadamia and argan oil, providing hair conditioning and shine. Not sure how long that lasts though. The shape provides flexibility in styling, so you can go narrow for tight curls and wide for looser curls. It comes with a temperature range of 120°C to 210°C. As always use the temperature that’s right for you along with heat protectant. It’s not heavy in the hand has a swivel cable and shuts down after 60 minutes; hopefully you won’t be using it that long, lool!The build is also good, which makes me think this will last a lot longer than many similar products on the market. This is a good choice if you are looking for a user friendly and effective curling wand.

Not a bad price for a well-made ceramic curling wand.Unusally the barrel of the wand is infused with macadamia and argan oil which works to condition the hair and add a bit of shine in the first few uses. I don't think the oils would have an endless effect during the lifetime of the wand.The wand is conical in shape. The narrower tip measures approx 2cm in diameter. I can use this to either taper my curls to have a tighter finish, or I can create tighter curls throughout the lengths and tips.The wider end is approximately 3cm in diameter - this area will create looser, more free-flowing curls.I am able to select a temperature which works best for my hair type, starting with a lower, friendlier heat to help protect the integrity of my hair. The temperature range is from 120°C to 210°C.The wand is light in weight and has flexible a swivel cable which means it won't need to be forever untangled when I twist my hair around the unit.I like that the unit shuts down after 60 minutes of inactivity. Very crucial when you're entirely focused on getting ready and avoiding being late for your event - oftentimes forgetting to check if the curler has been switched off... There's also a heat-resistant glove included in the pack. I would have preferred a heat-resistant mat to place the unit on instead. Having that is crucial whilst I get my next length of hair ready.A user-friendly curler with an adaptable thermostat to suit a variety of hair types and with some nice features and speedy heating of the oil-infused wand. I would have liked a heat mat in the set.5 stars

This is a fairly substantial wand curler, it is sturdy and a good size and feels like a much more expensive wand curler, but the price is excellent value for money. The heated part of the wand is around 8 inches long and tapers from the end from 19mm to 32mm at the top, so it is about right to wind your hair, but of course, as it is not a tong type, you do need to have longish hair to wind around the wand.The wand is infused with some oils for extra smoothness and shine, this is a great future and again not something you will find in a cheaper one like this curler. The curler runs on electric, so there is no battery, the head for the wand starts has five settings, 120,140,160,180 and 180 degrees, you can adjust these easily on the handle.Another nice feature is a handy built-in stand so you can rest it on a table, also, the electric cable at the back of the curler swivels 360 degrees, so no messing about with the cable, a very useful feature. In terms of effectiveness, you will never get the type of curls advertising, this is the same for all curlers I have used, this one works, but up to a certain point, it does an adequate job and is worth getting for the price.I am happy to see that the makers believe in their product and give a 3-year guarantee, an excellent endorsement, so I do recommend this curler. However, the sheer little black glove is a bit useless, it would have been nice to have had a cloth bag to house this curler, but these are not serious issues, I like it and am happy to give it five stars.

For the price point, this is a very good ceramic curling wand. Versatile, the barrel - infused with macadamia and argan oils - is conical in shape so the narrow end at 19mm diameter can be used to form tight curls whilst the wider end at 32mm is suitable for loose, tousled waves. The build quality appears good too.SBB's Twirl & Curl will work for all hair types and mid to longer length hair. I like the range of heat settings from 120C to 210C which means you don't have to use it any hotter than you need. It's lightweight and has a swivel cable - so is extremely user-friendly. A nice touch is the Velcro cable tie so the cable's easy to store away tidily.But another aspect I really appreciate about the Twirl & Curl is that the manufacturer has thought about safety and this curling device automatically shuts off after 60 minutes if not in use. There's also a heat-resistant glove included in the pack.A breeze to use, this curling wand would be well worth considering if you're looking for a styling electrical that curls or waves and won't break the bank. And as it heats up quickly, it's a real time saver as well. Recommended.

This is my first time trying an oil infused curling wand. This method is meant to prevent frizz, condition the hair and add shine. It actually feels really nice but I'm curious to see how long it lasts as I'd expect it to wear off over time. The wand is well made and thanks to it's tapered shape it allows you to create curls of different size and tightness. The temperatures range from 120°-210°C and I like that it comes with an auto shut down function. The wand is light weight and easy to operate. You also get a heat-resistant glove in the set but this is not generally something I'd reach for. The cable has a decent length and I found that the wand heats up quickly.
