The Large Retro Shaw Catnip Rope Toys are LARGE and our cats love them. We have an 8lb grey cat, an 11lb white/tabby, and a 24lb super fluffy orange foster cat. Each one of these cats spends quality time with their toy every day.Our first hint that these rope toys were going to be a big hit was when I received my delivery of packages that day. The large, heavy-duty, plastic, zip-lock bag that the manufacturer places the toys in was packaged in the large, plastic, bubble mailer. When I brought them into the house, I set this package on top of several others. Now, the grey cat is the oldest and she has been with me for 17 years, since she was a kitten. She is very loyal to me and will follow me anywhere, so she was right there with me, as usual. This time, she went straight for the pile of packages and started sniffing around them. I didn't yet know what I had received so My wife and I stood there watching her. Now, being an absolute connoisseur of catnip, she quickly homed in on the package with the cat toys & I realized that this must be the package of cat toys and it must have some decent catnip in it. She was not letting up on that package either. She was biting at it, scratching at, etc. and was desperate to get into it! I opened up the package and sure enough there was the catnip, but it was inside another plastic bag! She made her strange cat noises all the way to the cats play area as I led the way and when I put her rope toy down and sprinkled the catnip on it, she went to work, as did the others when they each in turn got their toys and catnip.Overall, my only complaint is that the fabric "refillable" catnip bag is tied in such away that the only way that I could open it was to ruin the ribbon ties by cutting them off, really a quite minor complaint.My Rating System:5-Stars - A Superior Product or Above Average & An Excellent Value - I would recommend.4-Stars - Above Average OR Excellent Value – A great choice.3-Stars - Average – What one might generally expect.2-Stars - Below Average Product OR Poor Quality Control – Maybe seek an alternative.1-Stars - Avoid if at all possible.

My cat was very interested the first few days but the newness wore off. Not that it a bad product but more that she’s finicky.

I have lots of toys for my cats and kitten and usually their favorites are the ones they can grab and kick and wrestle with. These pretty much fit that description.Even though I knew these were large I was surprised at how large. They are large enough that I had 2 cats playing with separate ends. The moment I took the bag with the toys out of the delivery box and set it on my desk my oldest and biggest cat started sniffing the air and looking up towards the table. I have never had a toy with the combination of Catnip and Gall Fruit, but it really seemed to immediately get him interested. Eventually all of the cats and kittens in my house were interested. I tossed the 3 toys down and everyone seemed to want one for themselves. At one point I had 2 sharing one at each end. After about 30 minutes everyone calmed down, which is typical with catnip infused toys. They will still occasionally grab one and wrestle and chew on it. My favorite use for these toys is with kittens who like to grab your arm on the couch and wrestle with your arm or hand like a toy. I simply use one of these toys in place of my skin to redirect the bad behavior.The toys seem very well made with quality materials. Be sure to save the original bag the toys come in to recharge the material with the Catnip and Gall Fruit scent. All you have to do is put the toys back in the bag, or any sealable bag really, and just being enclosed with the included Scent Packet will reinfuse the scents back into the toys. You do not have to rub or sprinkle the included bag of scent onto the toys and in fact you do not want to do that. Also, be sure to keep the scent bag sealed inside the larger bag when being stored to keep it fresh.So these toys are pretty much what I was looking for and seem well made. I know they will at least save my hands and arms with new overly rambunctious kittens.

This is a great item for cats. My two cats really love this one. You get three of these ropes with a sort of handle on the end so you can play tug-of-war with your cat. My cats loved it from the start because it comes infused with catnip, as well as a bag of catnip so you can put some on the ropes when it dissipates.They maintained interest in the ropes for quite a long time, which was really remarkable as they usually get bored with toys after a short while.As for the item itself, it feels strong and sturdy and has not fallen apart. I’m definitely a fan of this one— it is simple but effective! I highly recommend it if you have a super energetic cat, as a few minutes of playing with this will get them tired.5/5 all around.
