I bought this lock for an outside gate which is rarely used but needs securing.The lock is well constructed with good quality materials.The outer 'black case' is well designed to reduce the water that can run down into the mechanism.This should keep the product from gathering 'surface water' and the design should reduce rusting.both the silver metal opening/closing bar and the outer case itself are decent quality metals.The mechanical locking feature is well underneath the casing which should also keep the water from reaching the rotating numbers feature.The lock is easy to set up by just twisting the silver bar 180 degrees and pressing downwards.You can then set any combination number you want.A little oil every six months or so to the moving parts should keep the lock working for many years.Happy to comment and recommend as a decent priced good value product.

Both locks stopped opening after a month... Never changed the combinations and they don't open... Have to angle grind the locks off now

It looks great and really does the job feel more safe and I have peace of mind because its very strong and waterproof too so no more rusty problems come winter I will definitely buy again if I need a padlock for outdoors.
