great product.the bowl:its nice and serves its purpose. I believe the stickers are meant to stay on. I dont see why other reviewers try to remove them? that's part of the charm. it's a soap holder bowl not a lather bowl. load brush and move to lather bowl or face lathering.the soap: spend time learning to build lather with this. make sure to load enough on the brush. not enough product or too much water will result in not building a good lather. after you perfect this, you will be rewarded with a slick lather with mid level to no cushion. marlborough scent main note is cedar to my nose. I dont smell sandalwood or "smoke" as some others have reviewed. the scent does not last beyond shaving. it's not meant to.post shave: wonderful skin afterwards. no greasiness or dryness. like the post shave of this one with no sticky/grease feeling.

I’ve used probably 10 different shave soaps and DR Harris is my favorite I like a hard tallow soap, great lather, very slick and lots of cushioning and even when I get aggressive with the technique don’t get any irritation unless I get stupid LOL.

Love this soap. It is my new daily shave soap. Scent isn't for me, but it's not horrible. I plan on trying Windsor, or Arlington next. This soap is slick and leaves your face feeling great. It also provides a close shave.

I used a few other cheap shaving soaps and was never really impressed by them and the lather I could get out of them. First time I tried this shaving soap I was instantly impressed at the rich lather and creamy consistency that developed almost instantly with minimal effort. I love the smell of the malborough shaving soap as well. It leaves my face smelling nice and the nice smell lingers on the shaving brush as well. Shaves are super smooth and irritation free. Highly recommend this shaving soap.

The other reviews of this are very accurate. Nice, subtle aroma. Lathers great!I thought the reviews about the stickers/labels were a little over the top - until I tried to get the darned things off. Literally spent 15 minutes to remove the label on top and the band that secures the lid! Then I had to follow that up with a good scrubbing with Mineral Spirits to remove the gum from the labels! I have never seen anything like this!

Great performance but the scent is disappointing. It smells exactly like the bowl it came in. Suppose to have a sandalwood and cedar scent. I still like it but wouldn't buy this again. I will buy Arlington and my favorite Windsor again. Both are amazing.

Good scent but be prepared for a slight cedar/sandalwood scent. It's nice, not like pines Pine-Sol spray. Just a bit more masculine than just sandalwood.The performance is amazing. This soap lathers better than any other I have tried. I prefer Windsor but use this one at least once a week.Mitchell's Wool Fat is my go to soap. Can't beat MWF.

Anticipated this product after reading reviews. However there was no scent what’s so ever. Also, it seemed to have shrunk in bowl. But it did lather quickly
