Life in Color: National Geographic Photographs (National Geographic Collectors Series)

I loved it being sorted by color.

I bought two of these for my nieces, each of which has two small children. I thought it would be a nice way for Mom to help the kiddies learn about color, and about the world around. It worked, both of them loved it and so did their kids. The photographs in this book are superlative, making it a great family coffee table book as well. A photographer (which I am) could learn a lot about using color from these photos. A winner in every way.

This is our second purchase of a National Geographic Collectors Series. These photo books are amazing! Visual crack!! Very jealous of the abilities, shots, and experiences these photographers enjoyed. However, they provided us with a stunning gift for the eyes! My wife and I leaf through it together. We pace ourselves to make sure that we appreciate every picture.This will not be our last purchase in this series and we hope more will come in the future.

Arrangement by color offers inspiration for artists, decorators, textile artists, etc. Reading the captions requires some page-flipping, but that’s only a minor complaint. Wonderful photography, as is expected from National Geographic.

I purchased this as a gift to my son for his college graduation. His dream is to be a NatGeo photographer, so this was the perfect gift. Beautiful photos! I liked the arrangement by color and the quotes to help instill what the colors signify. My son was very pleased with the book.

Photos of your dear ones are precious no matter what. But ART PHOTOS are only exceptional if they draw the viewer for extended minutes with some particular quality .. This Book is such a lovely collection of EXCEPTIONAL photographs. This pleases me ... thanks Nat Geo Books for this publication! After winning a framed photo from this book, I knew I MUSTpurchase this book, which was a Very Wise Investment !

Great table for a bedroom side table. Perfect size and absolutely beautiful colored photographs. Makes a great little gift for someone who has an eye for colors and photographs but also has everything else!

Nice photos however the book is smaller than expected, so the photos are folded and stapled at the spine instead of the book being longer. I didn't like that at all.

Amazing, i wish it would have been bigger. But then it would have then become more expensive.

Beautiful images, and I love that most of them can be ordered as prints. Shows you many places that you will never travel to.

The photographs in this book are fabulous. I love that the book is divided into colour sections rather than subject matter. Very varied photographs and of things that i would not usually get to see myself. The book was bought for my dad who is fascinated by the beautiful detail in the picutres.

National Geographic publishes a splendid selection of photographic books and this volume maintains the high standard.The pictures are grouped according to the over-riding colour and demonstrate how to produce truly wonderful images by combining colour and composition.Studying this volume will assist the most jaded amateur photographer to strive for greater creational output.
