Hello Haydee, as the label says, this is Hydrolyzed Collagen Type II, so yes this is the Hydrolyzed form that is best for joint collagen that assists in the formation of naturalcollagen in the joints. The label says it is helpful for skin too. This specific version also contains: Chondroitin Sulfate...220mg, Hyaluronic Acid...80mg, and Protein...350mg. The Collage Type II comes in at 350mg. It is suggested, if you decide to use this product, that you minimize the use of over the counterpain killers, as the side effect of continuous use of them is the inhibiting of the natural formation of collagen in the body. Yeah, I learned the hard way when my Dr. had me taking them for a cracked disk in the lower back. Occasional use is ok, but not a regular (often) use.
