A great little machine.
I bought this laser to work alongside my Sculpfun S9 and Atezr L2 36w. After doing some research about the machine I thought it would be a good tool to use to engrave mirrors (as pictured) and slates. Setup is very easy (I use it through Lightburn) and within minutes I was synced up to my laptop and started engraving. After doing some initial setup to get basic material settings, I found that the Y-axis was about 1mm out of line (at its full range across the gantry). After a quick adjustment, I remedied the fault and have had no problems since. The home feature is very accurate and I have been able to remove work for further preparation and switch tasks without loss from rehoming/restarting (the forest pic has 3 different engraving layers). The protective laser shield and air filter are great additions to such a useful bit of kit. There are laser glasses provided for when engraving without the shield. There is a spare filter in the box and it is very easy to replace. Air assist isn't included, it is however available for purchase as an accessory. I've just recently purchased the air-assist, it is very easy to install, and I have not encountered any problems running that.I cannot comment on the Sculpfun app as I have not used that (lightburn only). This laser has now added value to my skill set. When it comes to the minefield of lasers research is key. The Sculpfun ICube pro max 10w fit the parameters of what I required whilst looking for an inexpensive, small format Diode laser.

Engraving is good, everything else is lacking
The engraving capabilities of this machine are good and I was happy with the results.Do not use this machine for cutting wood (Didn't try other materials) - as it has no air assist it burns and leaves lots of black soot on all the edges plus takes many more passes than a 10W diode should. The description shows 20mm wood cut nicely with little burning. In reality 6mm Plywood was a challenge involving many passes and leaving badly charred edges that get soot on anything they touch. The built in filtering will only deal with smoke, not the smell, if you want to engrave or cut wood expect the whole house to smell of burnt wood. The machine developed a fault after a day, I emailed the seller, received a response the next day to say the technical consultants would be offline for 3 days and they would contact me on return. Didn't hear anything back and eventually managed to get it working again by myself. After another week the laser failed completely. After raising a return I immediately received a returns label instructing me to return the Item to China at my cost. It took a complaint to Amazon and 4 days to finally get a UK return address as per Amazons policy for sellers. If you get a good unit without any problems and only wish to engrave then this will do the job, if you don't mind the smell of burnt wood.If you need anything more get a different machine. If you have any issues you are pretty much on your own.

Great for smaller projects
This is a great little machine. Does a great job and has a really good price point. I only wanted it to make labels for my handmade crochet items. Fantastic job on those. Compact size and sits on the desk without being too obtrusive. Had to play around with the settings a bit to get a good clean cut and engrave and also had to get Lightburn software, because I use a Mac. Brand new to laser engraving but had useable labels within 30 minutes of starting to use it. Only used in on soft leatherette/suede type fabric so far, but have now ordered a few more materials to try.

Okay
It has taken a while to get used to this. The instructions were terrible, didnt make any sense whatsoever.Once I got it going, it took me a good few days to get some reasonable results, having said that I am still using it and enjoying it.

3W option - Excellent for new starters.
The 3W version was considerably cheaper than the 5w or 10W options when I bought mine. I had wondered if this might limit my use of the machine but to be honest, I didn't want to spend more on a new hobby. The 3W version give a very fine beam definition which provided very precise engraving, which I like very much. So far I have used it on wood, slate and black anodised business cards, all of which worked fine. I have used it for cutting through card (up to 1mm) for model making. So far, it meets all of my needs. The lower power really just translates to time. Engraving is no problem. Cutting just requires a slower beam speed than a 5w or 10W laser. Personally I would opt for the increased definition provided by this model over the higher power of other options. The ICube system is very well designed and I like the fact that it is self contained. Although there is a free App for your phone and free software (laserGRBL), you need to plan to buy the LaserBurn software to get the best out of the laser engraver which is an added cost to be considered.

As described
As described, only for engraving, has tracking issues, work area is small. Fairly easy to use, would suggest adding air assist. Quite slow to achieve a good result. But then it is much cheaper than other units

Not really worth it
The acrylic doesn't fit properly and will not connect through wifi. The app that you can use on the phone is virtually useless not enough features way too basic

Decent
It has its shortcomings but is a solid little machine for the price and is relatively powerful if used right.
