Great way to keep track of your grip strength to see if it is going up or down over time
The media could not be loaded. As someone who enjoys strength training and who likes gadgets, I really do like this grip strength dynamometer from Camry. You can create profiles for up to 19 different persons (enter male / female, age) with the unit remembering the last recorded measurement per person for comparison with next go, it measures up to 90kgs / 198 lbs (can switch between kgs and lbs by pressing the ‘On/Set’ button), and via the metal adjustable knob on the handle you can change the distance between the base which rests on your palm and the finger grip to help you get the best position for your size of hand (please see photos). To use the unit you simply select your user profile using the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ arrow keys and then press ‘Start’. If you squeeze as hard as you can for at least 5 seconds then when stopping the unit will record the highest measurement you recorded and will show you if that fits within ‘Weak’, ‘Normal’ or ‘Strong’ based on your gender and age taken from your profile (please see video). In the box you receive the unit and the instruction manual and the unit comes supplied with 2 x AAA batteries (please see photos for box and contents). My only suggestions for improvement of this unit would be for the two handle parts, palm and fingers, to have a knurled grip (look at Captains of Crush etc they are metal knurled). The smooth plastic is the not the best surface for when trying to measure your maximum grip strength as it has some slip. This can be easily overcome however by using lifting gloves or similar.I absolutely recommend this product. It is a great way to keep track of your grip strength to see if it is going up or down over time.

Reliable, easy to use way to check grip strength
If you have been doing grip training for a while and want a way to measure results, then this is an excellent option.Essentially, all you need to do is turn this on, set yourself up as a user and squeeze the handle as hard as you can. Once you've done this, you'll have a number displayed that lets you know how strong your grip is.You can then go away, train for a few weeks / months, come back to the machine and check whether you've made any progress. The device is adjustable, in that you can move the 'grip' and 'rest' away from each other or closer together in order to find the ideal position for your hand/finger size. This really does make a big difference once you get it correct. If it's too long, you'll feel yourself straining in the fingers rather than the wrist.Usefully, you can use the buttons on the device to bring up the data of stored users: so if you forget what you pulled last time, it'll be displayed on the screen ahead of your next attempt.Overall, this is a very simple product, but it is by far the quickest and easiest way I've found to measure grip training progress.

Very impressed, works well
Reading through the product page this item is recommended for medical professionals to use with people recovering from surgery, this makes sense to me as I remember my mum using something similar when she was recovering from carpal tunnel surgery. Other uses that come to mind is for personal trainers to use with their clients for measuring improvement. It is not particularly the sort of thing an individual would need unless they really want to see how they are progressing. The machine comes with a couple of cheap AAA batteries, these won't last long but at least they are there to get you started. There are a number of user slots, and once these are created all the settings are saved, including the previous reading for this user. It even has a setting for male or female. Both my partner and I were pleased to see that were able to achieve a 'Strong' result on the meter. Overall I can only nit pick at some of the poor spelling in the manual - 'week' rather than 'weak' comes to mind. Apart from this this it seems like a decent quality item.

Handy grip-o-meter
You program your details in and test your grip. Very humbling to be told that your hardest grip is just average. The device works and is well suited to multiple people using it so you can have your friends and family put their grip to the test. Of course, doing this can improve your grip in the process and give you the motivation to work harder on your grip training. Feels sturdy, well made and safe to use.

Handy to have
This is one of those things that you buy because you want to, not that you really need one. Personally I like it and like to measure my grip for my own entertainment.
