Some of these cheep-o China hydraulic fittings are malformed, and the high pressure dope wont stop a leak if the gap is to large. This tape stopped every leak! awesome tape!TIP: After wrapping threads, run the tape to the bottom of the treads with your fingernail starting at the tip all the way back on the treads. That keeps the tape from sliding and getting pushed out as you screw it fitting in.

This is an important product
Many people think that this sealant tape is just like all other PTFE (Teflon) tape. It is not! This is a high density PTFE tape with low impurities specially designed for safe use on gases like natural gas, oxygen, liquid petroleum, etc and is thick to ensure a good seal. Many other PTFE tapes are not approved for use with such gases and chemicals due to there low density and manufacturing impurities - when low grade Teflon tapes are applied with gases like oxygen (and others) they can literally ignite when the pressure changes from turning a valve on or off. This is a genuine safety issue and if you want a good tight seal on anything, use tapes (like this one) that are high density, thick, and high quality.

Easily the BEST Pipe Thread Sealant Plumbing Tape I've used in 40 years
Having worked in the trades for 40 years, I love finding quality products. Try this pipe thread tape once, and you will never repurchase another brand. This thick and strong tape is helpful if you have damaged threads; it seals black iron pipe, galvanized, copper or brass gas lines, compressed air, PVC, or any plumbing joint. I recently used it on one of my rental properties where I installed all new plumbing and gas lines, and I installed two new swimming pool filter systems for customers and used this tape on every connection, and I had a perfect seal the first time. I can't say that when I have used other brands. Excellent product!

Great deal!
Very good value for the price. Nearly as thick as Oatey’s premium “FasTape”, for a small fraction of the cost. Fastape is about $4.50 for one 260 inch roll, and these end up being about $1.50 per roll of 520 inches. Great deal.

Works perfectly for turbos
Didn’t think it would work because turbos get very hot but after a few months now it has stopped my oil from leaking out of my restrictor

wonderful quality
nice and thick and more on a roll then that cheaper white type. its heavy enough just a few wraps seals up even high pressure hydraulic joints.
