THERMOS ICON SERIES Stainless Steel Cold Tumbler with Slide Lock, 24 Ounce, Granite

I bought this cup a couple of weeks ago and it has been a good cup. It can keep the temperature of my drink cold through my 8 hour day but the ice is melted. The cap screws on and it is very water tight. There are more expensive cups out there that may do an even better job at keeping your drink cold but for the money this cup does a very good job for a more modest cost.

Cup is great keeps my coffee warm pretty much all day if I don’t finish it off immediately. Quality seems great, I like the feature of being able to remove the slider that seals the top so I can get the top clean. Only thing I would prefer is a black top instead of clear but that’s just me.

This thermos is great. Fits two full cups of coffee into it, and it is easy to clean. Saves me having to take two different thermoses to work, and it fits in my cup holder. No tricky parts that are hard to clean. Five stars!

This will keep your coffee hot for at least 2 hours. Great investment to stop wasting paper cups especially if you can get a discount for refilling a reusable one!Can be disassembled for cleaning and reassembled with ease.

I already had an insulated steel tumbler by Simple Modern, available here on Amazon, that I like quite a bit. I wanted a second one, in black this time, and thought I would try this Thermos Icon series since I liked the look of it better than the somewhat blank Simple Modern tumbler. That was a mistake, as this Thermos tumbler is worse in almost every way.Despite being the same 24 oz capacity, it is thicker and heavier than the Simple Modern cup, and harder to hold.And despite that extra buik, it does not do nearly as good a job preventing ice melt as the Simple Modern cup. Ice melts hours sooner with the Thermos.The slide-lock top looks nice, but if you knock the tumbler over, some liquid may seep out through the slide mechanism.The instructions say it is top-rack dishwasher safe, but that hand washing is recommended for appearance reasons. They aren't kidding. After a single trip through the dishwasher, the black finish looks faded and rubbed off in several areas. The Simple Modern tumbler has been through the dishwasher on both racks countless times and looks exactly the same.The Thermos is functional and will keep your drink cold for probably as long as you really need it to. But it doesn't perform all that well compared to at least one competitor, it's bulky, not totally spill-proof, and fussy to clean. For just a couple of dollars more you can get a somewhat plainer but overall much better cup.
