Baby Pin adapter is not as described.
The Baby Pin Universal Adapter is pictured and described as having a non-slip on cut surface, ie. flatten on one side in order to ensure a tight grip for the light. I picked this seller's product for that reason, but the delivered product did not have a flatten side on the Baby Pin. I returned it immediately. Otherwise, it appeared that it would be properly functional. BTW, the weight of this boom arm was the same as my C-stand column, although 2 feet shorter.

Boom arm is great , sand bags need better stitching
Love the boom very sturdy . The first sand bag I filled had a tear in the stitching before I even used it once

good apart from sloppy mount
This is overall a nicely made boom arm at a competitive price compared to what you would buy from a specialist. Overall fit and finish is nice and it even has details like a brass washer in the angle adjustment. The one annoying exception is the mounting hole for the c-stand. This is supposed to be a 5/8" or 16mm hole but the one on mine measures 17mm. The effect is that the whole arm rocks on top of the pin for a few degrees. Functionally this is not a major issue but it is annoying and at first unnerving. I am sure I can adapt it to address the issue and I needed the arm to I did not return it. But with this issue I suggest to pay a few bucks more and get something from B&H etc.Addition: the outside of the mount is meant to fit into a junior receiver. And after cleaning it up with a file a bit it actually does which takes care of the wobble. Well, not quite. I discovered that some of the sloppiness results from the construction of the pivot: The whole boom pivots on the actual screw threads (and given that it is aluminum this is not going to increase longevity) and the clearance whole is so big that the boom can pivot around the locking screw when you tighten it up. I didn't think it was possible to botch the design for a simple thing to such a degree but there you are.To be fair, this is not an Avenger of Mathews at triple the price and it does what it is supposed to do. Additionally, I am not sure that going for an Impact or Angler boom (both are made in China too) is actually going to solve these issues as the construction looks similar. So maybe my initial review was more a reaction to the uncritical reviews above and I upgrade it from 3 to 4 stars.

Basic filming gear
Going to use it to hold diffusers, reflectors, lights, and mics when filming. (Not all at onceā¦but depending on the job).

Can't mount to C-stand
The unit seems pretty sturdy. But I can'r figure out how to use it as a riser for a c-stand. The diameter of the bottom section (35mm) is way bigger than the receiver on my standard c-stands. (27mm) Also, the 5/8" pin at the top is shown to have a flat ground into it, to reduce slipping. But the one I received does not have this flat ground into it. I haven't loaded it with heavy lights yet, to see if it slips. I'll follow up if it doesn't work for me.
