Shimano pads pick up shards of ally off your rims.
I came back to Shimano after using other brands. I had avoided them because they tend to pick up shards of ally that grind the rims. Been out for about 5 rides since fitting them & it has happened on one of those rides. Had to get the wheel off & pick out the ally with a sharp tool. Was out on a 50 miler today & it was fine. Will say, the brakes work well. Great modulation & stopping power.
