I wasn't familiar to be honest with alot of different models or manufacturers but I am very happy with the purchase of this set up. I rigged it up in the barn/garage and how very handy. Long hose will reach everything inside and it's close to the man door so it even gets to the driveway. Super happy with the functionality of the international retracting reel works spot on so far, just walk up grab it and go. I live in the cold south western state of NY and it's cold in the winter and that hose sill rolls rite up. Fukn badazz. You won't regret it. Ohh drill pilot holes for the lag bolts though guys. I snapped one off going into treated without pilot hole so just sayin.

This really cleaned up the air hoses lying all over the shop. Retracts easily and the hose is good quality.

The reel itself is awesome and works just like the ones you see at gas stations or auto garages. The hose is of EXCELLENT quality and the fitting are great!When putting on standard connectors (I use quick-disconnect) be sure to use the supplied teflon tape. The perfectly machined threads are easy on easy off but that also means air can escape if not stopped by the tape.The supplied lag bolts are crap. One snapped on me. The other didn't, but when I got it out to put two new lag bolts in it bent. A picture is attached. Note that I predrilled the holes (5/8" drywall and common 2' x 4' wood studs) and used a hand ratchet to tighten, so no more torque than is normally used in this application. Frankly if they'd left the bolts out of the kit it would have made the job easier because I'd only have had to do it once.Still am I happy with it - YES!!!Would I recommend it to others - YES!!!Would I recommend it to family and friends knowing I"ll hear about it if they're unhappy - YES!!!

Excellent product

I wanted a second 65' hose reel for airing up tires. I was looking for a lower priced unit that would still work well. This hose reel works just as I hoped. It rewinds easier and quicker than the first, other brand I already had. It was packaged well with heavier cardboard and bubble type wrap for protection. I already had better lag screws to mount with as others have complained about. My only minor complaint is the connector is not the universal type but type m I believe. I simply prefer the universal connectors and had a spare I used instead. They did include teflon tape for the connector. In use, it doesn't leak air and rewinds easily no matter how much or little hose is pulled out. The hose appears to be of good quality and I can see no reason it won't last a long time. I would buy again if needed!

This is a very good product and well made.

You can't go wrong with this air hose reel. Recently I purchased another product similar to this one and it was a total nightmare trying to lock the hose in ANY position. The mechanism was of such poor quality that within one hour I had to return the item.This Glahoden reel pulls out, locks, and returns perfectly...every time. The only change I would make would be to redesign and/or strengthen the tension/winding mechanism to have it pull back into the housing with more speed.I would recommend Glahoden include a small paper template of the mounting bracket, or even better, consider two removable bolts at the top and bottom of the mounting bracket, making it easier to install the bracket and attach the reel, especially if it's installed into a ceiling 2x4, etc.Another cool feature is that the hose tracks nicely into the housing with a simple side to side moving system that winds up the hose evenly. There have been no leaks from any of the hoses, so I would definitely recommend this product!
