It’s OK but I prefer my own made stuff
Making batches of base gravy is time consuming and then I also need to decant it equally and find freezer space for it. I thought I would give this a go. Don’t get me wrong, it’s decent but not a patch on my own made base gravy. My wife and I both thought it borderline Chinese food tasting, but also found it quite grainy. It’s a real pain to mix it smoothly and get all the little lumps out as well. I will still use it, but not for main dish Indian curries. I will reserve it for when I want to make the odd side dish or throwing over some potatoes or cauliflower. Good but not great.
