Fun and calming!
Bought this for my husband after we bought a large tongue drum. The smaller size does NOT impact the quality of sound. The drum is durable, quality, value for money and creates a soothing environment for home, outdoor activity or a classroom. The size makes it travel worthy. Would buy again!

Looks great! Tone is lacking
The media could not be loaded. This little drum is the perfect size for little people. Packing is beautiful. However, the tone is not great.

Our little preschoolers are enjoying this instrument
I purchased this thumb drum so our preschool Sunday school class could enjoy making music with an instrument that plays musical tones. They patiently waited for their turn to play the chiming notes of the drum. The tones that sound when the instrument is played are easily heard, but not too loud. I had purchased one of these drums for my "little drummer boy" grandson when he was in middle school. He enjoyed having a nontraditional instrument to play in addition to his drum set. Recommend.

Poor sound quality, issues
Apparently pentatonic C is not my tone. I found the soynd to not be soothing, but rather tinny and annoying. Color was beautiful, but there were issues. My box came completely broken apart, the drum was obviously owned by someone else before as it was already in the carry case. The base was missing, there was an odd white piece of fabric already used and I have no idea for what. Very obviously used before and sent to me. I returned it and shame on whoever the worker was that packaged that up.
