Very loud and clear for the size - great for a mobile DJ setup
Have two of these and use a bose sub1. Sound is excellent and portability is, relatively, very good. Have used side by side bose s1 and the owner of the bose said these sounded very good and was surprised. I would definitely buy these again.I have used these with a DDJ-FLX4, an omnis-duo, and with CDJs and a xone 92 mixer. All worked well.I've used them for multiple house and backyard parties and they did exactly what I needed them to.I highly recommend pairing them with a subwoofer if you plan on trying to get people to dance. Bass response is limited. They can work in a pinch but you won't feel any bass.Build quality is solid. Finally: the app works pretty well. I wish there was a way to easily know which speaker was which (color changing LED on the speaker that matches the color in the app perhaps). Other than that, no complaints on app speed or functionality.Excellent value compared to the competition.

Excellent speaker
I use the speaker several times a week for my singing business. It works great, and I appreciate that it has a USB port so I can charge my microphone receiver while it's plugged into the speaker and I'm using it. I can do several 1 hour shows before I have to plug the speaker in. I don't actually know how many because it is never run out of power. I just plug it in whenever an outlet is available which is about 50% of the time. I love the size and it's a great value for the money. Bluetooth connection works great. It automatically connects to my tablet if I turn it on before I turn on the speaker.

Little n Mighty
I have tried several of these lil battery speakers and this one is great buy. Many features. I say for solo acts, street gigs, rehearsal...great!Design: very practical for different positioning.Bluetooth Conectivity: SimpleClarity of sound: Better than other known brands.Imagine u plug in a pheynix wireless mic, guitar and done.I recently used it as stage monitor, at a large venue, it performed great.A carrying bag would be awesome.I would put it up against other pricier models...and bet on it.

Fantastic small busking or karaoke speaker
Fantastic small busking or karaoke speaker with a lithium battery. Not sure how long it lasts, they say 20 hours. I've never had the battery go even slightly dead, but lithium batteries tend to be all or nothing, unlike lead acid, or alkaline. I charge it once every couple months. The volume is more than adequate for car karaoke (what I use it for). High volume will require a good cardioid headset mic. It will predictably fill a room better than any of the popular small Bluetooth speakers. We even use this as a spot monitor for our band practices when need arises.I would not try to do an outdoor concert with one of these, but will probably will be loud enough to annoy most folks if busking at full volume on a sidewalk. I do know that the Behringer MPA40 is slightly louder and has better bass, but friends say they like the Alto better, more definition perhaps. The Alto comes with a much better lithium battery, but swapping the crummy lead battery in the Behringer for a lithium battery is super easy.Has a lot of selectable options for the built in reverb/echo but not really adjustable for delay, tone, etc. I find these built in effects well worth the extra money. There are16 different selectable effects, with 8 of them reverbs. The reverbs are very useable and perfectly adequate whether you play instrument through, or use for vocals, or both. While only one type of reverb/effect can be selected for the two inputs, you can vary the amount per each channel.I especially like that this speaker is smaller than a bookbag. It sits in the passenger seat on my long drives and commutes and gets tossed in the back for passengers. Other than the top tier price this box has no drawbacks as far as my needs go.

Better than a Bose, if you know how to create your own eq's
Most people are going to compare this to the Bows, which is considerably more expensive. This speaker is incredibly articulate much more so than the Bose. Very cool feature is the ability to create your own EQ curves. This can be a bit of a trial-and-error but one can create the E. Q then play test tones through spotify and use your phone as a spectrum analyzer. If you're super geeky, you can get just about any results you're looking for. Aside from that, Bluetooth connection is great. It's very long, lasting, incredibly powerful and quite versatile. I use it as a portable Bluetooth speaker. I also use it as a flat frequency response speaker for guitar and ant simulators. And on some saturday nights, it serves as a karaoke speaker for youtube based in home karaoke.

Perfect Fit
Got my 'little' Alto Professional Busker and WOW, this mini speaker sounds awesome. Used it in zumba classes and it packs a real punch with the volume (not even at max) and everyone loves it. Clarity is excellent and for me, the bass is perfect. I haven't tested it on the outdoors as yet but I am sure it will perform well for a small speaker and depending on the area. All in all, a great buy for me, affordable and suits my budget. and looks very sturdy. It is heavy but manageable and much better than a huge, bulky speaker. I am happy I chose the perfect one for my needs. Just wish they had a cover to buy for the speaker.

Insufficient volume
Hey. I have used the Bose, EV, and Busker for practice.I will say that this Busker sounds Better than the Everse 8, but pales in comparison to the Bose for sound quality. The app functions well.It does not approach either with regard to volume. The battery life seems goodI am really experienced and discerning about sound quality. I did return the Busker. Not, because it wasn't A good buy at the price point. But, because of the lack of volume, and mediocre sound quality. Its not bad, and could serve for a practice amp. I would say performing is probably out.
