Hygienic but not sure it's cost-effective
This is good for a small business, cafe restrooms, kitchens etc. where you require a hygienic towel dispenser - and where you have the room for such a unit, because it's not small at 259 x 408 x 320 mm (12.6 x 16.1 x 10.2 inches). It is easy to mount on the wall and the enclosed instructions are clear and informative. It runs on batteries (4 x D size batteries which are supplied with the dispenser) which I'm sure is convenient in certain locations, but possibly an inconvenient and costly solution for others, so that's something to make note of.It is clean and functional as you would expect from this kind of unit and does the job, but I'm not sure the size and cost of this dispenser is "efficient".I received it for review and also received towels that would fit the dispenser for review, so I could actually review without having to go out and buy the towels which have to be purchased separately. It does dispense the "inter-locked" towels well. All in all a product that is functional and neutral, but whether it's value for money, I'm not so sure. 3.5 stars

Good unit.
Its a solid unit which does a good job of dispensing towels, its easy to fit and you can fiddle with the settings etc. to ensure you get optimum dispensation. Its easy to load and you can get up and running within around 30 minutes - so as a unit its good.

Cumbersome and just not that essential.
This just feels a bit unnecessary. For one thing, it is quite large and would take up a lot of space in any small or home business. I asked several friends who run their own small businesses if they would be interested in such a product and not one of them was, and certainly not at the advertised price. I've also got to say that selling a product for this much and then not including even a small sample roll of paper towels is awfully cheeky. Especially considering that I was sent this one for the purposes of a review, which I can't actually do without going out and spending money to load the thing! Very poor move if you ask me. The opinion I get from everyone I've shown it to and discussed it with, is that it's just not a very necessary piece of equipment, and for the price, there just isn't much market.

I can see the reason for it, but it's a bit clunky and bulky
The idea of 'hands free' access to paper towels in the workshop is a very enticing one; but this unit was frankly just too bulky for me to make work. I suspect that it is purely designed for the industrial environment, and my use of it in a DIY Garage was overkill. Refills are also not cheap, and it needs the Kimberly Clark rolls to work - you can't substitute the cheaper rolls of blue paper we all see at trade shows. Not for me.

Hygienic towel dispenser
The Kimberly-Clark Professional 9960 Electronic Rolled Hand Towel Dispenser given to me by Vine is one of those standard plastic cased units found in industrial wash rooms. It is quite wide for the relatively narrow width of towel and perhaps could make better use of space. Supplied with it are a fixing kit (suitable for most walls), and full instructions including a template for positioning the mounting screws. It has allowed me to fix onto a wall the paper towel roll that normally used to collect grease, dust and dirt from random locations in the garage. The towels are now clean and hygienic and I no longer touch the rest of the roll, or anything else at all, with a dirty paw when needing a fresh wipe.It needs a nominal 8â (or 200mm) wide continuous roll but this can be as narrow as 175mm, and needs to be no more than 8â (or 200mm) in diameter, with an inner cardboard core diameter of 1.5â and certainly no more than 40mm. It has provision for accommodating the small âstub-endâ of the previous roll in a second position before it runs out, to allow uninterrupted supply until the new roll can take over.It needs four D-cell alkaline batteries (supplied) to operate the motor drive. The sensor below the machine can be set for three different activation sensitivities, as can the sheet length feed from 8â to 11â to 14â. The visibility of the drop of paper hanging from underneath can be also adjusted to suit the users requirementsThe windows on the sides allow us a visual check on how well the roll is lasting, but there is also a product indicator LED on the right which lights yellow to let us know when it needs another roll (before the old one finally ends), or red if there is a jam. The product indicator LED also blinks green briefly each time there was a successful paper tear-off for the first few on a new roll after a reboot. There is also a low battery warning LED, which will blink intermittently beginning yellow and eventually solid red when the battery is flat.It does not come with any consumables, nor is there any indication for what is recommended for use in it. There is a gigantic price range (as much as 10 to 1) and variety in quality (2ply thick and absorbent vs 1ply disintegrate-when-wet tissue paper) on these items; take a deep breath and look at these or then relax briefly and look at these. Then look elsewhere for much better deals; I bought my pack of 6 refills from a local builderâs merchant and they were full length, the right size in all three critical dimensions, and the right quality and texture, and at the right price. Stocks are not consistent, so buy with care! By checking them with a tape measure, I was able to make sure that they were actually what I needed before buying.
