Works, but…
The cover is well made, fit my trap perfectly. But I had a unique issue, as you see in the photo I caught a skunk all good, then came along a large raccoon who wanted to get to the remaining bait.. Apparently skunks and raccoons get along, as the skunk never sprayed. The raccoon pulled the cover off and the moved the trap around until he got to the remanning bait. So, what I’m going to do now is use some zip ties to keep the cover on, and some large rocks to weigh down the trap.I used a large tarp to protect me while I moved the trap to a release location. Always approach from the closed door end to act as a shield and throw the tarp over the trap. At least the skunk won’t have a straight shot at you.I did catch the raccoon raider the following night.

Love this
I have a feral colony that i have been trying to get handled and this has come in very handy. It isn't bulky like the blankets i would have to use prior.

Sharp Edges – Injured Feral Cat Badly
I bought this cage in May last year but only used it today to trap a feral cat for a TNR program. Unfortunately, I quickly realized that the cage has multiple dangerously sharp edges—on the top plate, the metal plate, and the areas where metal clips are attached. The poor cat kept bumping his head, gouging his skin to the point where there was blood everywhere. By the time I got him to the vet, his fur was torn off in places, and he was clearly in pain. It was a horrible, heartbreaking experience. While the cage technically functioned as a trap, the finishing is absolutely terrible. The sharp edges aren’t immediately obvious—you have to run your hand along the inside from the animal’s perspective to truly feel them. I deeply regret not doing this beforehand. Now, the cat has injuries he never had before, and to make matters worse, the TNR program doesn’t provide first aid beyond spaying/neutering and vaccinations. I have no idea what condition he’ll be in when I get him back tomorrow. After seeing the injuries, I used needle-nose pliers and some tape to modify the cage since the cat would be in it for about 10 hours. I just didn’t want him to keep hurting himself. Unfortunately, these modifications came too late—after he had already been injured. So, instead of returning it, you could try modifying it before using it. Had I known, I would have done that first. On a positive note, the included cover seems well-made, and I was glad to have the option. The TNR folks elected not to use it and chose a basic sheet instead. It does seem thick, so I wonder if airflow would have been an issue during the long drive if it had been fully closed.Whether you buy this or any other cage, always check for sharp edges before using it. This one is a safety hazard, and I would never recommend using it as-is. Beware.

Great idea for our trap
Slips on easily, breathable. Makes more sense than dealing with a draped towel or throw. Price is affordable. Wish I would have had this years ago. I will be buying one to donate to a local cat trap and release group

Great ferrel cat trap.
I used this to trap the ferrel cats around my house. I used a little news paper to cover the bottom and carefully placed a can of food on the pad. It was out for about 15 minutes and I immediately trapped one of the kitties. Dont worry they are just going into the TNR program. The cover works well to calm them after they get trapped. I highly recommend this.
