My go to reading glasses
I absolutely love the progressive lenses in these glasses. The varying amount of magnification makes these quite functional when moving between tasks at different distances. For instances, I can go from up close work on my desk such as reading a page to more distant work on a computer monitor without making any adjustments. With standard glasses I might be moving my head back and forth, dropping the glasses down my nose so I can look over them, etc. With these on I just look up and everything is clear. They generally improve my vision over a variety of distances and are so comfortable to wear that I frequently forget I have them on. More than once I have gotten into my car and driven a distance before realizing I still had these on. The frame on my first pair did break for no apparent reason. I did see several reviews mentioning durability issues so take that into consideration. Bottom line is that I much prefer these over standard, fixed magnification glasses. I have several pairs now just so I have them handy whenever I need them.

Perfect Glasses for Playing Cards
These are exactly what I was looking for & am so happy I found them. I play mah jongg and was having a hard time looking down @ my card & rack of tiles & then looking across the table where the discarded tiles are. I found I needed one power for up close and another power for looking slightly further away. These glasses have 3 levels of sight: 1 magnification power on the bottom, the middle is a slightly weaker power and the top is clear. Perfect for me! Even if you don't play MJ, these glasses would be gr8 for playing any card game (bridge, rummy, etc.) plus they look nice and are pretty sturdy. Very pleased.

FINALLY!! JACKPOT!!
I tried 3 or 4 other brands/sellers of multifocal readers with really poor and disappointing results. There were a range of variable problems but the majority fell into the inaccuracy of the lens strength selected to the REALLY bad or almost nonexistant placement of the 3rd/reading level. These FOSTER GRANTS are as CLOSE TO PERFECT as I think I can get for multifocal readers 'over-the-counter'. There placement of the progression from distance to computer to handheld reading is excellent as are two of the three strengths (I read the reviews so knew going in that they were a bit stronger than most were used to at the same magnification so I ordered down a bit) The only issue that brought these FG's down from 5 to 4 stars was the distanice or top portion which I believe is really a good deal stronger than even I'd anticipated despite having been forewarned by other reviews....BUT...deslite that one blemish all the others were returned...THESE ARE STAYING RIGHT WHERE THEY ARE AS I WRITE!! :-)Thanks FG and Amazon!

Poor Quality
After cataract surgery earlier this year I have purchased four pairs of Foster Grant reading glasses. Two from pharmacy and two from Amazon .All either popped a lenses or the frame broke around the lenses. Great looking, good price but very poor quality. I have worn glasses my entire life and never experienced so many quality issues so quickly. Strongly advise against purchasing these due to the poor quality.

Good lenses, Bad frame
The 3 focus zones are nice and is why I bought the glasses. The frames are poorly manufactured. As other reviewer have said the hinge attachment is weak and some people have reported that it broke on their glasses. One the glasses that I received, one side had a lot of free play in it. I expect my hinges my will break if I used them very long. My major complaint is that the ear pieces come off of the front frame at different angles. In order to have the glasses reasonably level when wearing them, I have to flatten one of the ear pieces and sharply curve the other ear piece. The grossly different shapes required for my ear pieces, makes me look like a dork. Fortunately, I only want to use these at home for the next month while my eyes stabilize after my cataract surgery. Then I'll get some decent frames if I still need reading glasses. Oh, I ignored the warning about these frames and bought them any way because they were the only ones I found with the length of ear pieces that I needed.

I want to like these and they work great when reading but I was under the impression that when I look up it's not supposed to be blurry still it suppose to muti focus for seeing a little farther out then about 6ft anything pass that I have to just take them off constantly like readers also the sides are really loose and fragile like there about to break my more expensive ones are better these will get by until the break i see that happening soon

Better than trendy and super expensive progressives
I originally purchased two pair of more trendy progressive readers for almost $100 each and immediately returned them - they were hard to adjust to and my view was distorted in the periphy. I ordered these ones from Foster Grant because I was curious if they'd be any better - and omg they are SO good! I don't have to do all the weird tricks like moving my head or pointing my nose to where I want to look. I just go about my business and it's perfect for computer work and reading. I wish they had more styles!
