Great little set
This little Train set was perfect for my 2 year old. We took it with us on vacation and all kids in different age groups enjoyed playing with this! Seems like good quality and has with stood multiple kids being fairly rough with it.

Cute.
This was recently opened after ordering a while ago and saved for a birthday. It was well received and quite colorful and detailed. It is made of a nice solid wood construction. There is a carved in track with a couple of cars that fit well in the grooves of the track. There are a lot of wooden pieces in this set with everything to create a town/village. Children can use their imagination and configure the blocks in a ton of different ways. The wooden box doubles as the track and convenient storage inside for all the wooden pieces. Everything fit inside without issue when closing the box. This is a nice take-a-long toy. I recommend this item.

Good enough
The overall concept is great however, the building set ups for the designated areas are cramped. If you don't set them up perfectly, the train will knock them over. Also, the blocks are very slippery and fall over easily. I ended up attaching velcro to the bottom half of each building to provide some stability. The train engine's magnet can only handle 2 cars which is disappointing as the video shows 3. My 3 year old grandson is unfazed by all of this but I think an older child might get frustrated.

Self-contained, portable train and town play set
This train and town play set is absolutely solid, as most of it seems to be made with solid wood. The colors are beautiful and vibrant. There are a lot of pieces which allows for plenty of different configurations. While there are instructions included as a guide, allowing your child to come up with different setups is where this kit shines. The train is smooth for the most part and depending on how fast you try to move it, it should stay on the track. What is really cool is the train engine car is actually motorized and runs on an AA battery - certainly adds a bit of a wow factor. I think this kit could also make a really great gift.
