My son has special needs and has recently started unfastening his seat belt. The other day he tried climbing between the two front seats while I was driving and I thought, I need to find a solution. I found this buckle guard and thought that I would give it a try. I received it the day after i ordered it. He managed to wriggle about and the booster seat came out from under him but the buckle remained intact and he was stuck. He is nearly 7, I got rid of his old grade 3 cat seat because it was too small for him. I would recommend the buckle guard as It keeps your child strapped in, as long as they can't figure out how to unlock it. It comes with a handy little tool which you can attach to your car keys and it unlocks with ease.

Not easy the first time you try to install it but you get the hang of it. Very easy to undo with the key. Dog friendly as I got mine as my dog kept undoing my seatbelt. Very good and basic.

This product was used on a 2.5yr old boys car seat. It was easy to install and did the job well, securely keeping child in their seat. As before this, my Grandson would be out of his seat in minutes. Let's u relax knowing they are kept safely in their seat.

Bought it to prevent my autistic son getting out of this seat. It works well and fits the car seat belt and the key work well too. Four stars because it can easily be lost as it loose.

Oh my gosh! What a life saver these have been! My son is an escape artist! I have never had a need for anything like this in my life until recently! My son can get out of most contraptions and I had resorted to most things to keep my son in his car seat. He could unclip his straps and then unclip the car seat itself. So we decided to try putting him into the booster alone and maybe that might deter him from unclipping it as he wouldn’t feel so restricted. No that didn’t work either. He was out of the seat as quick as he was put in. So I searched on the internet and I found this! It is a bit difficult to work with as my car is an Audi and the seat belt lock is in line with the leather seats. My husband drives an Audi and he has the same issue. We can use them but it takes a bit of force to get it to clip in. Overall I wouldn’t be too off put by that and went and bought a two pack. Bonus is they send you a flat key ring so that i can slide it in and unclip it. Brilliant invention. Just hope it doesn’t break as it is after all plastic and a bit thin and a bit expensive singly! Does what it needs too and I am happy with that. It does fit.

I bought this as we have dogs in the car with the kids and the dogs are unlocking the seatbelts when moving around.This item did not fit the seatbelt buckle on my Nissan Navara on first fitting. The silver male piece may be shorter than normal or the black plastic housing may be wider, but it would not lock with the protector in place. I took a sharp knife and widened the slot for the belt buckle, to the point it now fits perfectly.I am now reasonably happy, But I am hoping I don’t loose the small metal key ring that is provided to unlock the seatbelt.Time will tell how effective this is.
