Carhartt Men’s WP Mittens (A616) are all-purpose winter mittens. Made with ultrasoft insulation, waterproof inserts, and sweat wicking technology, these mittens will keep your hands warm and dry when the temperature plummets. Durable, reinforced mitten shells with grippy palms allow your hands to effectively work outside on cold days. Soft fleece cuffs have adjustable wrist straps to keep out snow and slush. A clip off the wrist conveniently keeps mittens together for times you are not wearing them, and the nose wipe often comes in handy. Your hands are your tools. Protect them with the mitten designed to outwork them all.

Outstanding value.
These Carhartt winter were recommended to me by a friend, and I bought them 5 years ago. I would buy these again. I have recommended these to many others based on the blend of warmth, water resistance, wind resistance, solid durability, and reasonable price. These hit a sweet spot between performance and value.I have used these to keepy hands warm in a variety of activities, including snow skiing, shoveling snow off the driveway, chopping firewood, walking the dog, sitting around campfires, bike rides, and early morning boot camp (F3) workouts. The boot camp workouts have definitely taken the biggest toll, gradually wearing down the outer layers due to things such as bear crawls across icy pavement. Based on what I have put these through, I am impressed. And they still have plenty of life left! After all these years of abuse, they look great. When I bought these, my biggest concern was the fit. My hands are often between men's large and medium, depending on the brand. So I originally ordered both sizes. Either would have fit my hands, but these are a bit narrow at the wrist, and I could barely squeeze my hands in the medium. so I returned the medium and kept the size large. If you're in between sizes, I recommend the larger size. These are very warm, sometimes almost too warm. Perfect when sitting or walking. If you are active in these, they may get a bit hot and sweaty. I like warm hands, so when I am active (running or boot camp workouts), I have learned to shed layers from my upper body, and keep these thick warm gloves! When these get sweaty and steamy, I dry them over a standard heater vent. I just flip the wrist cuff up, and then set these gloves over a vent, so warm air can enter and dry the inside. I also wash these in a standard washing machine about once a year, and then dry them over a heater vent. Keeps them smelling nice. I never dry them in a clothes dryer, but just place over a heater vent. Finally, these are warm enough for most conditions on their own. But when the temps are very cold, and I know I won't be moving much, that is when I like to pair these Carhartt mittens with a thin liner glove. Occasionally that gets too hot, so I shed the mitten or the liner. For the price, these are hard to beat. Outstanding value. Highly recommend.

Great mittens for many uses
Great mittens!! Use these for snowboarding and work in the cold. They’re super warm and the tightening method is super easy to do even with cold hands or while wearing the mittens!! Super durable and good quality. They’re thick enough to be ward but not too thick to be overly bulky. They have good grip as well for different tasks and whatnot. Definitely recommend!!

Warm, waterproof, inexpensive outdoor mittens.
I bought these items due to a review online. Size is correct based on the sizing chart with the product. These gloves are warm and waterproof. We wore them for a week skiing.

Warm mitten, good value,
I purchased these after reading reviews. Most of the reviews were positive and indicated the mittens were very warm and some reviews stated the the mittens were larger than expected.I normally would choose a 2XL mitten or glove. These largest these mittens are is XL. I ordered them and hoped they would be roomy enough. Unfortunately I find the mittens are true to size and maybe a bit small to size. They are snug going on, but one else on, most of my hand is ok , but the thumb is too short.I have chronic cold hands and Reynauds (white fingers when cold). I’ve tried all sorts of gloves including heated and nothing is very good,I tested these gloves for two hours of snow removal in 15*F. (-9*C). The good is that my four fingers on each hand stayed warm and dry! However, my thumb on each hand did get cold and painful. Part of this is that the mitten thumb is not long enough and my thumb presses against the end. This causes a loss of insulating effect (there needs to be some airspace).Using snow blowing and shovel for two hours makes most gloves or mittens soaked. Theses did stay dry, but time will tell if they continue like this after a season of use.The inside did collect some perspiration and it takes a while to dry that out. It helped to prop the mitten open with a small piece of cardboard so it dried thoroughly.I’d say the mitten is a good value and very warm, but don’t expect it to be larger than its stated size. If anything, it’s a little snug and you’d better off upsizing to be warmer.

Great for biking
I wear these bicycling at low temperatures. They are extremely effective. They are better than hand guards and a lot simpler than heated grips or gloves. Once you press your palm into the handlebar grip you can then fold your fingers and the rest of the mitten follows along. The second glove takes some practice getting on efficiently since your gloved hand has lost dexterity, but you should have it down in no time. Again you can press your lower palm of your gloved hand against your torso or leg to help. Another trick is to start bending your fingers at the knuckle first. Normally we bend our fingers with the outer joints first and move down the joints to the knuckles. Practice going the opposite direction a couple times. Flip the gloves inside out after each use. Otherwise they can stay moist for days. I highly recommend these for bicycling. They are many times better at keeping your hands warm compared to winter gloves with fingers. It is night and day.

Great gloves!
These are warm, durable, and comfy! I will say they seem to run a little large, so keep that in mind.
