So, the receiver on the logic board of my chamberlain garage door opener went bad. Since the logic board was too expensive and the wired push button still worked, I used the remote controller, together with a relay and a 9 VDC power supply, to fix it. Very simple and elegant solution. Now I use the remote configured as a momentary switch wired in addition to the wired push button (which still worked). Cheap, simple and elegant solution. Additional components you need to get: a relay and a power adaptor. It works! The photo shows the wiring and placing of the remote receiver with the relay hot glued above.

I bought this remote control as an alternative to replacing the failed circuit board in my GENIE garage door opener. I used an old wall wart transformer to power it (12v), and the output as a momentary switch to trigger the door open/close. It is great - the range is further than my old garage door opener, the programming was very simple, and the little key fobs look nice. I hope the “jelly” surface buttons don’t melt in the summer heat.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Comes with really everything you need, instructions are clear enough, range is pretty good (must extend the antenna first), and having a pair of remotes was really useful for me since I wanted to remotely operate something from two different locations. The *only* thing I wish was different is if the keychain hook was on the opposite side, so if this is hanging from something then on is at the top and off is at the bottom. Minor nitpick though.

Very good quality item with a great range for the remote. Would like a waterproof unit to be able to use outdoors but works as advertised.

I have an older model motion duck decoy that was damaged in the water. Controls completely destroyed. Contacted manufacturer, no luck on replacement parts - told me to buy a new one. Seemed like a waste, so I took it apart and rebuilt/rewired. I added this remote control to the circuit so that I can remotely activate the wing spinning motion from my blind. The unit sits inside the decoy body, I used tape to secure it to the battery holder. The duck runs on a 6vDC lithium battery, was worried that the voltage was out of spec. Tested it today, works great! My distance is less than 30 yards, turns on and off with the remote as expected. Nice to be able to repair the decoy in time for hunting season.

Please contact us. After much experimenting with programming because instructions are not exact, we came to find that the remote buttons are backward. Please respond: Press once tac switch on side to put into program mode. 3 presses of tac switch to put into Latched mode. Press ON on the remote, then when ON is pressed on the remote the relay is on, release the ON on the remote, the relay is off. Press the OFF on remote, relay latches on, press ON, the relay latches off. , looks like a great item that we would endorse if it worked out of the box as described in the instructions.

Purchased two units, one failed after 5 activations. The other failed after two activations.
